I thought Flying Swords was dreadful. Didn’t care for any of the characters and found it dull. 3D was decent though.

Last three films I watched were better, namely Noah, GOG and to a lesser degree Robot Monster. Of those, I enjoyed GOG the most film and 3D wise.

Gog’s depth was superb with a handful of great pop outs.

watched Carnage 3D: Sport Extreme. a 60min film on various extreme sports. the waterpolo one was mostly flat but the wingsuit one was definitely shot with 3D in mind.

it was very very a cheap grab a while back. don't overpay for it, but include it in an order. labeled as Region B but it worked just fine in my ps4 region A.

I also strongly recommend The taking of Tiger Mountain. Not many people mention this movie when it comes to amazing 3D, but they should. There are some sequences involving slow motion bullets flying trough the air that always remind me of similar scenes in Drive Angry.
And surprisingly, it is still available at a great price:

Me, too. So I looked at the back cover of the German release, to see that it should be the same movie (same studio, producer and director).

But it looks like the specifications are different.
Italian version: 1080i, English in 5.1, Region B
German version: 1080p, English in 2.0, Region Free

3 Blu-ray movies arrived this week:

5050582702255f-1510609813.jpg Rise_of_the_Legend_poster-2300461796.jpg 61qKri3+UnL._SX342_-1062785059.jpg

Coraline: Very decent 3D reviews and looks like an interesting movie.

Rise of the Legend: I wasn't sure about this one but I have to admit it does look good.

Iceman: Elevated black levels on the left eye fixed. Before & after pictures in Iceman thread.

I suppose the advantage of not having a huge 3D collection is that I can still find "interesting" 3D blu-ray movies to buy.

The statue is surprisingly small, especially compared to the box it comes in. I'm wondering whether to leave it in the box or just take it out and display it.

The film I hope is English-friendly so I can get rid of my US edition but it's the bonus disc I got this for, not sure if I can wait for my Japanese-speaking relatives to visit before watching it though...

Do what's best for you, but no need to wait for your relatives for this short, imo. I watched the Digimon shorts with fansubs, and the story is pretty non-essential in those too. Honestly, I'll probably go without the subs next time I watch to avoid them clashing with 3D pop-outs.

I haven't watched the JPN Godzilla 2014 disc. I know it has an English track, but I don't remember if there are subtitled parts. A user review on Amazon JPN suggested that the audio track on the American disc has stronger bass than the one on the JPN disc. I can't attest to whether that is true or not.
