Gotta admit - was pleasantly surprised. Very!

When put it on straight after the DVD you really notice the difference.
A decent upgrade for me.

People are right. Not the best blu-ray but this is the best we'll get for now and I'm more than happy with it.
Looking forward to Friday night now.
Mine finally arrived yesterday and although I plan to watch it tonight I did exactly like you did and did a quick check. Totally agree with your comments. I’m so used to seeing this in such atrocious quality, it’s actually a shock to see so many details and colours.

I’d almost given up on this title given all the issues, but this release is very good. Well done to the French company. I’m surprised at the low number of members who’ve logged this in their lists. It’s been released with little fanfare and no review or anything, so maybe a lot of the fans of this film are just unaware it exists.

Good to know you got it and enjoy the quality.

Watched whole film last Friday night.
Was great to see it in so much better quality.
It was better than I expected. Def worth a purchase.

Yes, a real shame fans of this film will have no idea it's slipped in under the radar and kind of off grid.

As an aside, and just in case you don’t have it, the Warner DVD of The Mackintosh Man in your want list is actually pretty decent. Warner Archive Collection seem to have largely abandoned their 70s catalogue, so the DVD is probably going to be the only option.

I have the Pink Panther set and it’s good, albeit with variations in quality between the films as you’d expect.

Good to hear about The Dead Zone getting a 4K.

I received my copy last Friday and watched it that night. I can't add anything to what has all ready been posted regarding the PQ and I couldn't agree more. This blu ray is tremendously more watchable than the ancient Anchor Bay dvd which had mediocre PQ even by dvd standards. I'm very glad to have it.

Yup, spotted The Dead Zone from Shout Factory today. Great stuff!
Thanks for the up about The MacKintosh Man.
I have the German DVD. Be curious to check out the WB version if any better.

One last watch of the Anchor Bay extras - the location shoot pics and the interview with Schaffer are good - and it’s off to the charity shop. It don’t think the DVD is in demand so little point selling unless anyone knows any different!

Screens and comparison here. Not a great scan, but seriously leaps and bounds than the DVD.

Gave up on Amazon and went with FNAC who say they have stock next week https://www.fnac.com/a18221378/Le-Li...livier-Blu-ray

I was sitting around waiting on Bully too and they have stock of that.

I gave up on Amazon as well and ordered from a third party seller. Received it in less than a week and is was even sent by Amazon. Lost out on my £5 voucher but I didn't want to risk missing out on one of my favorite films.

The first interview with Caine/Russell Harty on the Network release of Kidnapped covers the production of the film, with not wanting to give away spoilers, the class background and his relationship with Olivier (Sir vs. Lord vs. Larry).

What are the odds that this label could release The Stepford Wives? I guess I should preface that question with another: how on earth did they get the rights and materials to release Sleuth?

The back cover properly credits Palomar Pictures so either BMS lowered their asking price and/or Colored Films met it.

I see this is getting a release in Spain next month.

A bootleg which Amazon and other Spanish retailers are happy to sell: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...1#post21659851

Quite a few subtitle options.

Which means The Stepford Wives might get a look in, as I doubt they paid over the odds for Sleuth.
