I think the Code Red release was just the "R" rated cut, so the uncut version would definitely draw some interest, I would imagine even from fans who don't normally watch XXX movies.

Yeah, it's got to be uncut. No reason to get it otherwise really. Wasn't there some talk that she used a double for some of the scenes though? I mean, you can tell it is her in some scenes, but maybe not all?

Yeah, I think a double was used for all the close up shots. However, she does perform explicit oral sex a couple of times.

The footage of Kristine De Bell performing oral sex on the Mad Hatter was actually privately shot footage of De Bell performing oral on producer Bill Osco, who convinced her that it was necessary for the film, but it did not appear in the original theatrical version.

Kristine DeBell claimed a double was used, but in the uncut "Arrow DVD" edition I have, it is made clear that it was her in the "solo" scene, and in the Mad Hatter scene. The close-ups in the final love scene could possibly be a double, but I don't see the point in quibbling. That said, DeBell (understandably) would prefer to pretend the movie never existed since it was made in a dark time in her early adulthood. I understand her position on the film -- and still, it's easily one of the most entertaining movies I've ever seen and I will absolutely buy it the day someone puts a new scan out.

In the mini catalogs Synapse encloses in their releases, they have teased a release of Alice for years now, implying that they believe they have the rights, FWIW.

They thought they had the rights to thriller so as soon as they heard that VS was putting out a release they had one out months prior. They're quick when they need to be.

Three 4K UHD from Dark force entertainment tonight.

Scream (1981).
Rather boring and nothing really happen.


Final exam (1981).
I really like this one. I would say it could have one or two more murder in the first 40-50 min + little bit more gore/blood and t&a. Nice score too.

The Dead pit (1989).
Here is a movie I watch a couple of times in the 90s (had/have the dutch VHS release). Story wise it is good, I really like the colors (and the UHD look really nice) and the effects are nice.


All three looks really nice on UHD, good work Dark force.



I really love to read an old article from my magazine collection after watching a movie. The dead pit had a 3 page article in Gorezone #9.

Watched it today, Dave. Great flick! Thought it looked excellent in 4k. I'm not an expert but seemed like just the right amount of natural grain. Was glad to see the openings by Sybil Danning and Isabelle Mejias as well.

I need to give this a rewatch with the commentary at some point because the girl who plays Julie goes nuts in this, and I have a feeling from the opening that she has a lot to say about it!

This 4K line has been killing it, man. Can't wait for the next one!
