Ok BD I thinki got the essentials in the sig at least now I'll do a lil more adding when I get the laptop back as well as add picks to my gallery since it's a pain to do on a phone with a 4" screen

yea I think I will order 2 sub cables and y adapters from monoprice and hopefully BB won't charge me a fee for returning the opened rca's I can find it later but if anyone with a nice fast Internet could post a link to a few good 25 foot rca's and GOOD y adapters that would help me a ton. Heck if your bored you could even throw em in a cart and send me the link lol.

Look at Post #2 of A Guide to Bass Management. There are links to high-end Y adapters from CableSimple for less than $5. Monoprice's sub cables are excellent, but their Y adapters are the basic low-end cables you can find at any store. Make sure your sub cables are long so that you can experiment with the position of the subs.

Yea I think I'm gonna order 2 25 ft long cables from monoprice , 2 - female to (2) male y adapters and 1 (1)male to (2) female adapter just in case I end up buying another 12

Thanks again for all your help!! And everyone else on here as well. I've learned a ton in the last few weeks and now that I'm getting older I need to put my stereo money into my house before I become one of "those guys" being 60 years old bumpin down the street

My problem is, my home theater room is very small a 10 X 12 size room, and with the furniture and bookcases and mediacases, there simply is not much room to move around my subwoofers.

In fact, thats why I think I can localize my PL-200, its in the corner, literally an inch away from the walls, and it pretty much has to be there.

I'm going to put the HD-SUB10 in the corner across from it, as its pretty much the ONLY other space I have for it to go, LOL.

Try your best to move the subs at least 6" to 12" away from the walls. You don't want the subwoofers very close to the walls.

After adding the second subwoofer, if you are still having trouble, try room treatment such some bass and corner traps.

I got it....170 shipped. I can't see that being a bad deal! Now to get them calibrated when it comes in. Gotta brush up on my "Guide to Subwoofer" thread and run to Radio Shack.

mj, here is the link to cablesimple for the 2 types of Y-splitters (1M/2F and 2M/1F) that Big Daddy is talking about. I order my Y-splitters from here as well. They are shielded very well....

Wow, great price for that 12" Sub! I'm thinking about going after the 15" (but not til' 3 weeks from tomorrow - no rush tho') & will be monitoring this thread to see if anyone goes after them & what prices they get them for.

I had thought seriously about the 15 too but thought it might be too big and there wasn't much info/reviews about it. The PA-120 does pretty good by itself so I thought with the addition of the AA that it would smooth some of the voids out.

I'm going to pick up one of the black HD-SUB12's soon. I just got outbid on ebay by $2.50 for the only black one they had up for auction. Do they usually only put one up for auction at a time or something cause the only other ones are but it now or best offer. Just curious

Another bone head move by me. 6 days ago rigjt before I put my bid on my hdsub12 ( which I just won ) I bid on a hdsub 15. That for some reason has not been outbid yet and has been sitting at $186 for the last 4 days. So hopefully I actually get outbid on this one otherwise I'll have a nice cherry 15 added to the owners list as well lol

Congrats! I think you're the only person thus far who will own both the PA-120 and one of the AA subs. I'm interested in hearing your comparison of the two- finish, build, and of course sound. You've got such a huge space (nice HT, by the way) that I can't imagine just one of EITHER of these subs being "enough".

Keep us updated, and feel free to put your thoughts in the Premier Acoustics thread too. Having more budget options and direct comparisons is a very good thing.

*edit* Oh, and I really like those two cherry subs posted earlier in the thread. I'll have to eat my words about the PA-120 being better looking!

Lol -- I doubt it'll end at that $186 price. You know how it goes. People see an item, make a note of the ENDING Bid Date, & wait til' the last 5-10 minutes to go in & start watching it so they can SNIPE you at the last minute! - like the below post, I presume...

And as for you jruc!!! Lol. I believe I had that exact same hi bid for at least a day or so. So I might of done a final 24 hour Snipe on you

Lol you might of really been mad at me then. My max bid was $141. But yea I can't wait to do some testing oN it. I just ordered my 2 rg6 cables from monoprice a few minutes ago. Still wondering about the 3 y adapters tho. The shipping is $13 and the price of the 3 y adapters was $12.
