Yes we all know that the best way to order is online from places like Amazon and Deep Discount, but there are times when the serious collector is trying to hunt down a specific item in Mint Condition in Store.

As was the case today when I went on a mission to find the perfect slipcases for Sleeping Beauty and Pinocchio. My quest led me to target where I found a perfect Sleeping Beauty, but was refused the price match by the staff, claiming that I needed a Wallmart paper add. Thus, my wallet was enclosed back into my pocket and off I went to BB.

BB gave no problem. They simply looked it up on wallmart.com and approved the 8 buck reduction. I then proceeded to grab Pin. Boom no problem.

Target did keep in stock their exclusive Dark Knight Mask Edition so I applaud them for that, but target will no longer see a dime of mine on regular non exclusive purchases.

In times when shipping can damage slip cases, the collector has one option(if the slipcase is worth it) to pick it up in store. Keep ordering online, but be rest assured that Best Buy Whitehall will price match your title. I highly recommend that you get these two titles while you can. i throw all my slipcases into the recycling bin.

You've given me a heartattack LOL. I don't have a problem with throwing away slipcases if that's what you want to do. But have you seen the Pinocchio and Sleeping Beauty slipcases they are wonderful. I would go into Cardiac Arrest if I saw one throw these in the shredder.

I'm complaining about Target. I expected them to match their direct competitor which is walmart. BB on other hand price matched.

It goes by area though I guess your BB might or might not price match.

Oh well. The Ship Sails on.

Weird that you mention that Eric. I was thinking of Fellini when I wrote that.

Anyway, I'm back to Amazon till the next worthy slipcase.

dont have a BB so I dont know, however Wal-Mart.com and Wal-Mart are essentially different entities as they dont match each other and their prices vary. Heck even the in store prices vary from market to market.
I seldom shop at Target unless I got one of those 10% cards and its cheaper to buy it there. The people of Target are very unfriendly in my area

I wasnt aware of any Target store price matching. I thought it was a company wide policy since none of the Targets in my area price match.

my target told me they do price match but you need a paper add. They won't go by the online.

Anyway two thumbs down and a headlock with a very tight full Nelson for Target
