Blu-ray Duke

Going by the specs and the content, it looks like Paramount did the work on the 4K discs and the new special features Blu-rays for themselves and 20th/Disney. 20th/Disney went the slight extra mile and is including the 2012 20th feature film Blu-ray in some territories. |

Man, you are so right!! Seeing that full keyart image for the 4k edition, my god it makes no sense why it has been so cropped and zoomed to heck for the actual covers. bizarre settle on such a cramped image

It has the 4K Blu, the standard Blu + the bonus disc. It retails for 30 Euros (27 GBP) on Amazon and other Italian stores. Being in the UK, the standard Blu will be Region B locked, so you will not have any problems playing it back on your player. I, too, missed the 25th Anniversary re-release in theaters, this year. But I have went to the 20th Anniversary 3D re-release (Even though I have the 3D Blu set), and was absolutely blown away by the 4K presentation. Titanic is a movie that NEEDS the big screen, in order to be enjoyed it. It just doesn't feel the same on a tiny screen. |

No, Jim Collins is right. The original is less cramped and the ship isn't too cropped. Much better.

Even though I own the 3D 4-disc set, thus I already have the 2012 Blu-Ray release, I found it extremely stupid not to put a damn standard Blu-Ray in the package, like everyone else does. I understand that studios want to cut off on costs of physical media. But what about those who still don't have a 4K TV|player, but want to watch the movie, anyway, and watch the 4K when they have upgraded? What those people are gonna do? Use Netflix, Amazon or any other streaming service? Gimme a break, please. No streaming site can offer, yet, the same quality of a Blu-Ray or 4K Blu-Ray and lossless audio as well. For what a movie costs, on those sites, i'd rather have a disc that I can watch and store at my convenience, than to pay for a movie that I don't physically own. It's also just stupid that they even charge so much for a Limited Collector's Edition, yet they don't even offer the 3D Blu-Ray. |
