I think you can search (max) up to 250 miles on the website. So “Unavailable Nearby" likely falls within that search area if you punch in some different zip codes.

For me, I get sold out which should = not available within 250 miles for me. Just a theory.

I was just in a Target, and they had copies sitting on the shelf.

The website for the stores near me had all not in stock or even available online for sale. Either your area got them or a glitch for their website.

I wasn’t wasting time going in store to check when I found a copy online at Walmart so who knows…

I checked the website after I posted, and yeah, it shows no 4K stock. It was the usual newer price of $32.99, I would guess maybe a glitch on their website. I'm headed out to a movie a bit later, with a Target next to that location (and carries movies), so I'll check there too.

$32.99 is what Best Buy and Target have it for, Walmart and Amazon have it for $29.96 so while I saved that money going to Wally World to find a new copy I still wasted time driving around lol. I was happy to spend the extra 3 bucks or so only to get a huge scratch on the 4K disc go figure!

And, BB told me they would NOT price match to $29.96 due to their Black Friday price matching policy. I’ve never had any issue price matching with BB until that moment today so there’s that.

Folks, physical media is dying. No if’s, and or buts about it.

I wouldn’t have wasted so much time trying to exchange a disc because of a little scratch. If it plays that’s good enough for me.

My local Target, Best Buy and WalMart have all completely dropped the 4k format, in-store. I'll be waiting a good bit for my Orbitdvd order to land. The supply issues are a bit odd with this release, and many of our typical b&m retailers that do a decent volume of online sales don't have it in-hand yet.

Yeah this thing is scarce. Me finding it at Wally World was a miracle. Clearly this will be hard to find until restocks happen. I kid you not, I went this morning to pick it up and they had several copies out. I went back later to find a new one and it was all out in two stores and online it was slowly going out of stock in my radius. And the icing on the cake was seeing the blu ray only editions fully stocked and plenty available :mad.

And in terms of scratches this is only the third time ever I had to return a disc, as I’ve had amazing luck overall. But this was a blatant large scratch that I knew would cause playback issues easily and I wasn’t paying this amount of money just to have playback problems.

Now to actually enjoy the film and the features lol.

Went to 3 Target and 2 Best Buy before I found a 4K copy in stock. The last BB had plenty of BD, but only 3 copy left of the 4K. It took so long to find a copy that Amazon went out of stock and I can't price match. Luckily I still have almost 2 month for the price to drop so I can price match.

Does the regular 4K release come with a Universal All-Access Rewards code (typically for 1200 points)? Mine just had the digital copy on one side, blank on the other. No other extra insert.

I don’t think so. You have to submit your receipt on their website to get pts.

Hell no... no way cause it shouldn't be an issue but it is due to poor quality control from the manufactors. The most egregious company are definitely criterion and shout factory with sctrached discs. Just today when I bought Oppenheimer and The Fugitive I also bought Mean Streets from Criterion. Only Mean Streets had scratches so I returned it back to Best Buy and when I opened the replacement in front of the employees, loathe and behold there were scratches again on the 4k disc. I just got a refund which they granted no problem cause they understood. This is unacceptable and shouldn't be allowed.

The Mexico replication plant is just hammer-fisting all the Criterion, Diznee and some Shout discs. Also Kino 4k discs. It's brutal. About half the Criterion discs I've bought have been trashed. I actually avoid them now whenever I can, when other options present themselves.

I'm sure this horse has been beat to death multiple times before but humor me for a moment. Why does Christopher Nolan's movies not have Dolby Atmos or DTS X? Even new releases are only 5.1.

I can see the argument made for revisionism ruins classic films as to why the TDK trilogy 4K sound was ported over.

Nolan likes 5.1.

If anyone's picked up the Walmart Icon edition, it houses the discs in cardboard sleeves? How are they laid out? Do they seem like they'll be easily scratched? I like the look of it from the renders but I'm a bit wary of the longevity.

Dude, the thing was basically NEVER available for pre-order, unless you got one in within first two hours of when it first appeared on day 1 of the random first day the pre-order appeared unless you also count the ten seconds it was up for the other night.

A better comment might be it's naive of Best Buy to think that a movie that made almost a billion dollars, and was clearly primed to be a hit way before that, should only have like 10 total copies of it printed up and even more naive that when the initial pre-order sells out in like an hour to not bother to increase the order size and have more printed and think that not one more person actually wanted a copy.
