Fun City Editions posted on their Facebook page earlier that their Black Friday sale starts at 12.01 am EST tomorrow (Friday, November 24th), ending at 11.59 pm EST on Sunday (November 26th). Based on the picture included in the post (if I understand it correctly), the following FCE titles will be available on FCE's website at 50% off MSRP (the crossed out price?):

With the Classicflix sale on Screen Archives ending the same day as on CF's website, that helps me out and I should then be able to get both sets of titles (Fun City Editions and CF) that I want to get.

You're not wrong about these various offers/sales coming thick and fast. Have taken a small step back to reduce the feeling of being overwhelmed by the amount of offers/sales, and also to make my mind up what I hope to get (it's a bit like being on stepping stones).

Had hoped that after Network's UK DVD release of Handgun, that it would get a Blu-ray upgrade by them or another boutique label.

I did and it came in a small box. The glued cardboard was from a B&N order.

Got a better deal ordering through DD with their 15% Off code last week, but TR Baskin arrived with a crease in the slipcover. I blame that on the cardboard ravioli packaging. Should have just paid the few extra bucks and bought directly from the FCE sale.

That sucks to hear. I haven't had too many problems with those weird packages overall~but it's always a fear when I see them delivered.

Got my copy of Baskin in just now and it got similar treatment- both the slip and the case have a sharp crunch at the spine.

It would have been nice to have unblemished copy, but I have to be honest. The discount after the coupon and that first week price was large enough to make the difference between getting it now and possibly never getting around to ordering it at all.

I'd been planning to go with DD for Duddy Kravitz too, but not so sure now.

I went and bought myself a disc of T.R. BASKIN. Should arrive in a few days.

Looking forward to receiving it.

I'm assuming the Handgun release will be a standard bluray from a 4k scan? I really wished they would just release a 4k

Also wished they kept it fullframe too =(

Noticed that my copy of Duddy Kravitz (bought from a local store) is in a non-Viva Elite case. Poor case barely fits inside the nice VS-style slipcover... pushing out the sides ever so slightly.

Nice to see legit embossing again, VS has moved away from that and is doing more spot gloss finishes.

Now to just procure a copy of TR Baskin and I'll be FCE complete again.

I loved my Duddy Blu-ray, but the slipcover is the worst. I tossed it and will never use it. A 5 year old could have done a better design. I was happy that the regular Blu-ray case was fine and I will stick with that.
