Default HDMI splitter?

I was looking on monoprice for an HDMI splitter (now i wish i got the onkyo 876 lol) so i can run 1 cable to my LN40A550 and another to a 24" Dell LCD that i have by my bed.

I see alot of powered splitters but i also see

http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2

which is non powered, am i going to have an issue running blu-ray over this splitter?

I wouldn't think it's a good idea. I've been through my share of compatibility problems with a couple different powered splitters and switches, let alone a non-powered one. You never know though.

Would an A/B switch then of the sorts be less troublesome? i only need to run1 or the other display at a time

This is what I would go for, but at $60 it's a little pricey. The reviews look promising though.

These other ones look like they could also work and for about half the price. The reviews don't look very good though.

In my experience, HDMI switches and splitters are a crapshoot, but since you are merely splitting the video signal 1x2, you will probably be ok. Most of my problems were trying to get HD audio to work on most devices.

you said "Most of my problems were trying to get HD audio to work on most devices." i will be trying to get HD audio, at least on the run that goes to the reciever, on the run that goes to the monitor i need audio still but it doesnt have to be HD
