I don't think Amazon bought it outright, just licensing it.

Amazon own MGM but I think Warner still distribute for them. It should still get a release as Bones and All did but I’m not 100%.

This came and went so fast in my area that I didn't get a chance to see it. It will be an easy blind buy if it gets a proper release.

I saw this last night and loved it. Easily one of my favorites of the year. Since I first saw The Killing of a Sacred Deer I've thought Barry Keoghan was awesome and he does not disappoint here. Great to see him in a lead role. It's a really special performance. The kinky scenes got major laughs in my screening, lol. Starting with
[Show spoiler]Barry slurping the bath water.
It was nervous laughter at first, like people were afraid and then everyone just let go like a crescendo. Some shocking scenes as well that got loud gasps. I was surprised to see such a large crowd this late in the film's run on a Tuesday. It was a lot of fun.

All of the major scenes in the film are so well done including that epic ending. Beautiful cinematography. Not a weak link in the cast. I really liked Archie Madekwe as Farleigh too. Great filmmaking all around.

Glad to see it's coming to Prime streaming so quickly as I'm looking forward to watching it again. I missed some of the dialogue. With the accents and British slang, it would be good to watch with subtitles once.

I was surprised that this is still playing in theaters. There were a lot of people at the showing I went to. I thought it was pretty good until the ending. The A Midsummer Night's Dream-themed party was cool.

I had some respect for Emerald Fennell after her last movie, but this movie is trash. Glorification of elitist trash and their hedonistic lifestyle, then it dumb down even more at the end with a stupid gotcha moment.

I didn't love this as much as I hoped I would, but I do love that Emerald Fennell made something like this as opposed to whatever Marvel/DC thing they were courting her for.

Also, I don't get the whole Jacob Elordi craze at the moment. He's generic at best.

Did I miss something, but
[Show spoiler]what happened to Carey Mulligan? She sort of just disappears?

Sounds right up my alley. If it's one of those movies that make me feel like I have to scrub off my own skin, I'm sure I'll love it.

I vastly preferred the obsessive love story of the first half compared to where the story ended up. Overall this was entertaining but I feel like the 3rd acts of both of Emerald Fennell’s films forgo logic for shock value and really require the audience to just go with it. More so in this instance.

Rosamund Pike was fantastic in this, but her character becomes underserved in the second half
[Show spoiler] and I feel like the film needed to do much more between her and Keoghan’s character to better rationalize her viewing him as a surrogate son and so willing to leave everything to him (though the scene between them in the tennis court was one of the best in the movie). The last 15 minutes felt rather abrupt and in a hurry to get to the “twist”. And he had one of those very convoluted villain plans that require so much to transpire exactly as he expected. Especially at the end where he had to wait for Richard E Grant’s character to die before orchestrating his way back into Saltburn.

But the decision was strange for me. Maybe the one who accepted him did not study well in college? Well, they could have turned to https://ca.edubirdie.com/assignment-writing-services like all normal people do. Just order your papers or take the time to verify all the facts you're pointing out.
I want to say that Emerald Fennell told herself how much she loved "Murder on the Dancefloor" and that she
[Show spoiler]wanted her protagonist to dance naked to it inside an empty mansion
but then realized she had to work her way back to find some semblance of a plot. Maybe next time, Fennell...

That stated, the
[Show spoiler]red curtained lunch
was exquisitely edited and shot, as was most of the film (even if it made 2002 look like 1983, lol). Grant and Pike clearly sunk their teeth into their parts; I thought they played the tropes very deliciously, if familiarly. Alison Oliver gets the obligatory "nymph in the moonlight, wreck in the daylight" cliché to wear around her waist, and it's a shame, because she exits the plot just as her performance gestures toward something more interesting (granted, the script, for all it purports to be, is as afraid of going places as it pretends to delve into). Elordi could've done this role in his sleep, but he did it wonderfully anyway. I also think his arc ends just as it could've become fresher and more distinct.

I can't stand Keoghan, and have never understood the raves (across any of his performances). His character was all over the place, and this is firmly Fennell's fault. The voice-over spattered throughout was so unnecessary, as was that final, third act montage (ludicrous and extraneous).

I'd recommend for those wanting some pretty good atmosphere and some occasional flickers of microscopic attention to detail that delivers on the sensorial level, but otherwise, why was this 2 hours? There's an 80-minute chamber piece inside this pretense...

Oh, right, it's called My Summer of Love, and it remains a force to be reckoned with in this little sub-genre of desire.
Most of the movie takes place in 2007, I think. But even if not, I believe it wouldn't be that big of a goof. At least for me, it's more understandable than Bruce Willis in "Friends", while Joey and Chandler are fans of "Die Hard".

I didn't like much of this movie, but in particular the ending is completely misjudged - it's framed as a revelation that Keoghan's character has been plotting against the family, when that has been plain as day to the audience from early on.

It's as though Fennell underestimates the audience to the extent that she thinks if she doesn't explicitly show
[Show spoiler]Keoghan killing Elordi
, that the audience wouldn't be able to put 2 and 2 together.

[Show spoiler]There's nothing more lame than the villain of the movie revealing his masterplan at the end as a gotcha moment
