Titanic 4K UHD (1997)

Anyone else having issues with the disc locking up at various points? My disc looks fine superficially, but it locks up in a way that I’ve never seen before. It’s only on this disc and in the same parts repeatedly. Haven’t gotten another copy to try with it yet.

Mine came from Amazon in a bubble envelope. There's a very tiny crease in the corner at the bottom of the slip cover but it's hardly noticeable.

It irritates me that Amazon doesn't care if the Blu-Ray discs or most other items they sell are protected.

Arrived by itself in a ludicrously large mega-sized envelope, so big the whole top flopped around. Through some force of nature I don't understand, the slipcover was in great shape for once. It easily could have been trashed in that envelope though.

Bubble envelope; thankfully the slip was in perfect condition.

So lots of talk about the picture quality.. but what about the sound.. does it sound like it did in 1997 or did they AI enhanced the sound too :P

Again I’ll say I’m no tech expert and while this is the best the film has ever looked. The Blu Ray version was actually good as well. I do feel that sometimes this gold/yellow tone can be a bit overwhelming especially in the outdoor scenes. We all know Cameron loves his blue hues though, which is more present in the night scenes and modern day scenes. The blue hue colors towards the end are definitely a bit distracting so who knows how others will feel about it, especially the nitpickers. Movie still looks amazing in 4K and should sway away any doubters of any DNR nightmare like Terminator 2. Gives me strong hope that his trifecta of The Abyss, Aliens and True Lies will look just as good.

Sounds good, but there's a small line missing, the score sounds boosted, and the sinking moaning and groaning noises are more pronounced than the previous BD/DVD releases.

well i thought had dvd seems i don't anymore anyways do you consider 4k better then bluray am not sure if i should sell it when i get 4k tomorow amazon or not

Received my copies of Titanic and Point Break 4k blu-rays in a box with little padding from amazon, both with slipcovers and in perfect condition.

Does anyone know if the regular BD in the United Kingdom 4K+BD pack is region-free or not? I checked the last nine pages but didn't see anyone talking about it. Thanks!

As someone who actually used to work for Amazon, how they package them varies, a single piece will be put in what they call a Jiffy. Multiple movies may be in that brown envelope type and more than 2 will be usually be shipped in an actual box. So it’s a YMMV type thing and you have no control. I had my recent Indiana Jones 5 and Silver Bullet returned by Amazon themselves cuz it was damaged, luckily they refunded me.

It's region free. It's the same disc that was released in 2012.

I already sent a request for a DC.


None of the stores are getting re-release films any more so im having to go online; Which sucks as i feel the world is going to make me a A hermit because of the scarcity of physical releases. I do like talking to people when pick up my media. So I'm a bit bummed and am Worried about The upcoming Avatar Relases...
