Why not just put a regular case in there with the book like Vinegar Syndrome and Arrow do?

Because this is a new product line and I wanted to have unique packaging. Totally get that not everyone loves mediabooks, which is why there will be a standard edition in a Viva case later on.

That said, we had these new mediabooks custom made for us. I'm an avid collector and also hate flimsy packaging, I think you'll be happy with the quality (even if you don't like the art)

Because then people would complain that it’s no different than the Arrow LE’s or too similar to the VSA and VSU lines.

I don't know how correct this info was, but I heard a while back that the hang up was the Ian Matthews song you can hear in the VS trailer (Shake It).

Would I prefer OG art? Yes, definitely. That being said, I'm over the moon with this announcement. Original soundtrack, the deleted scenes and it's encoded by FIM, this is just all around great.

Hoping The Last Seduction hits the Cinématographe line in the near future in UHD. I really dig this slipcase/mediabook packaging.

I'll pick up Little Darlings at the end of the week, when everything is announced.

I'm hoping another Kristy McNichol movie w/ some other star names (Dennis Quaid & Mark Hamill) might find its way into this line at some point. It's by the same director as Little Darlings too. The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia.

our newest member to the VS sub-label family, Cinématographe, which will will be bringing you a delectable selection of American auteur driven cinema from the late 1960s through the mid 1990s, including plentiful Paramount and MGM titles (many on Blu for the first time), plus coveted deep cuts from independent masters like Paul Morrissey!

I'd bet on the Morrissey (if only a single title) being Mixed Blood but I'd be happy with Forty Deuce or Spike of Bensonhurst as well.

Obviously it's hard to gague exactly what this label will turn out to be but it looks to be going in a promising direction. I'd like to see them tackle the likes of Downey Sr. (like Hugo Pool or Pound), Michael Almereyda (Nadja), Ross McElwee, and Su Friedrich (Hide and Seek, Sink or Swim).

"Little Darlings" is a gem. I saw it when it first came out and it really made an impression on me. Well acted and beautiful location photography. I'm really happy that it is getting the high quality release that it deserves.

Though Little Darlings is a solid pickup for Vinegar Syndrome, I kind of wish that they were releasing Looking for Mr. Goodbar, a title they already shot down as Cinématographe Films Sunday title. That said, I will be buying Little Darlings.
