Holy crap! i thought the Lions had capped the Niners. As they were up 17 at the half. I just wanted to see how badly the niners lost. and i see they came back! I mean i am a 49ers fan. so that is surprising as hell.

Guess the Lions made history. just not in the way they wanted too.

Lets just hope they can continue to against the Chiefs.

really shocking that a team with a great running game was able to have success with the run in the second half of a game, as the opposing defense got tired. i mean, it’s not like they had an mvp candidate running back. surely, this has never been strategized before. lol.

man today was just a tough one to watch, happy for the result but definitely nerve wracking. Defense needs to get their shit together before the SB.

the funny thing is before the game he went on IG live to say the Chiefs were lying, that he wasn't injured. Won't be surprised if he's inactive for the SB

The truly mindblowing thing about that game is, even with the Lions epic chokejob, they still would’ve won if they’d have just kicked the damn FGs instead of turning it over on downs twice. And Goff would be getting touted as the true winner of the Stafford trade pending the SB result. Instead he’s still looked as that QB that could never get his team a ring, which Stafford did when he left them.

This is why they always say take the points.

Surprised the Niners are favored over the Chiefs. Seems like a matchup KC could be narrowly favored.

That's the same thing my friend I was texting during the game said. He's from Michigan, but lives in Arizona now. if they rook the 2 FG's they would have won. I said the same thing too.

Ugh, I have to explain here as well.

It’s easy to point to Dan and say “he lost it for Detroit”. Dan is why Detroit has won so many times and led us this far - and a big part of that are the gambles that he often wins. SF made crucial adjustments during halftime, Detroit made mistakes in second half. Receivers couldn’t catch and dropped passes. Gibbs with the rookie fumble. Aiyuk with the lucky catch. And the punt that could have been downed at the 2 yard line but the player stepped out of bounds. So many things that went wrong and added to the “choke” well beyond Dan’s control. I do not blame him for this loss.

Cool story. Stanford traded to a stacked team and was in a win-now window. Goff went to a rebuild team with a new coach and made it to conference championship game in just three years. The two situations for the quarterbacks are completely different. Goff will be back.

No guarantee kicker makes a field goal

Especially the one that would have been 48 yards.

Play of the year.

I don't even know what I'm feeling right now. After so many years of disappointment and some flat out terrible years, it's crazy to see my team back in the Super Bowl for the 4th time in 5 years. I honestly never thought I'd see the Chiefs in the Super Bowl in my lifetime, let alone win. I just wish my dad had made it to see this.

You will blame him, eventually. He's essentially the luckier version of Brandon Staley.

I was really pulling for the Lions but the niners came back hard.

Loved seeing Lamar catch his own pass!

Still be going for San Francisco but I’m sure KC will prevail.

You should be blaming him for the loss. You can pinpoint the exact moment the Lions had problems. It was the pass to Aiyuk where the ball should have been intercepted and it bounced off the defenders helmet.

There was a point in the game where Campbell was going to go for it and he decided to kick the FG. I thought for the first time he gets it.

He should have not gone for it in the 2nd half they needed the 6 points. The reason the Lions made it to the NFC Championship is the reason they lost.
