Yeah I'm going to guess they scrapped the collector's edition or didn't make enough to fill all the orders. Time to demand a refund and get the normal steelbook.

I got my shipping notice for the collectors edition yesterday and is set to arrive this coming Monday. It says the shipment was shipped from LOUISVILLE, KY. Isn't that the same place BB use to ship there's from?

I probably should give it until 2/13 or 2/14 to see if it ships at this point. The Marvels too(Two other people have the delayed notice for The Marvel's steelbook as well in that thread) but as someone who hates the loss of Best Buy for several reasons, this whole experience just adds on to that feeling especially as this is happening with the first exclusives I've pre-ordered since Walmart took over the exclusives. Very poor first impressions. I've never had this sort of issue ever come up pre-ordering from Best Buy.

I work at a Walmart supercenter and do the modular resets. Since it looks like Walmart will be getting a lot of steelbook exclusives going forward, I will try to see what will be in-store and quantities to give people a heads up.

That said for this upcoming week, Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes 4K, The Marvels 4K, and Daryl Dixon BD will all be in store. We got quantities of 4, 5 and 2 respectively so not a lot. Also Silent Night 4k steelbook is not listed on the new mod so not looking good for it being in-store any time soon.

i know currently walmart steelbook out of stock online do think walmart in stores will have 4k steelbook or just standard 4k come tues?

And now mine says it's coming today via Fed Ex, so much for getting a lot of RBT studying done lol. It says it was in Ft. Worth this afternoon so unless they're rushing it to El Paso and then Las Cruces, I doubt I'm getting it before Monday, despite the site saying 2/10/24.

Reposting what i did in The Marvels steelbook thread.

I've been so anxious about this so I bit the bullet and called Walmart's customer service(I wanted to speak to a live person right off the bat.)The guy was nice. He said regarding The Marvels steelbook,it may still arrive. I can hold off until release date and see if the delayed notice changes or he can refund my two gift cards I used and I can re-order. He said the money would go back to both gift cards(I always keep the gift cards until the full order comes in) but you may have to wait a few hours until it shows back up on the cards. So I did that He also gave me a promo code to cover the shipping and for the headache this has been.

With The Hunger Games The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes Collectors Edition and the Arrives December 31 notice I have. He said it could still arrive but honestly he doesn't think it will given it's out of Stock status. And he didn't think it was a good idea leaving my money out there given it's unlikely to arrive. He said he can refund my gift card for that i can either pre-order the standard steelbook or i can wait until Tuesday to see if the Collectors Edition comes back in stock(I doubt it will ) and re-order it again.

So I did that for both.

I got the email with the promo code. So far the money hasn't been credited back to my gift cards but again, he said it could take a few hours. I really want to re-order The Marvels steelbook before it goes out of stock again but I can't until the gift cards are credited back(haven't decided what to do about Ballad yet. order the standard steelbook or wait to see if the Collector's Edition comes back in stock.)

In my purchase history it now says for both The Marvels Steelbook and Ballad Collector's Edition,...

I haven't received a email yet for either. I got the promo code for the shipping for The Marvels steelbook immediately (Ballad was free shipping since it was over $35) but it's been a little over an hour since the gentleman canceled the two orders and no emails confirming the cancelations.

I just checked and none of those gift cards have had the money put back yet.

How long does it take for the email confirmations of cancelations take to come in?

Does this mean I probably am going to get The Marvels steelbook & The Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes Limited Collector's Edition since it's been over an hour and no email confirmation of cancellations yet and my gift cards haven't been credited back yet either?

Truthfully, I would rather just have them having been prepared and on the way because i want both but i feel like I'm in limbo now. I don't know if the cancelations went thru because they were already prepared and on the way and that's why I haven't got an email confirming either being canceled and that's why the gift cards remain empty. On the flip side, I did get the promo code to cover the shipping on the one order but with the gift cards still empty, I can't re-order The Marvels steelbook or decide to order the Ballad steelbook while both are currently in stock.

I feel stuck and very frustrated. How long do I continue to wait to see if those cancelation confirmations email(or email(s)) come in and the gift card amounts are put back?Later tonight,tomorrow? Do I just assume that they were already prepared and are arriving? I have no shipping info in order to tell.

I've said it before, I knew losing Best Buy was going to be bad for me but I wasn't expecting this bad Walmart has sent a very terrible first impression on picking up the exclusives from Best Buy.

Currently my Wonka and Aquaman 2 steelbook pre-orders look right. Wonka changed to Arrives by Mon, Feb 26 a few weeks ago and Aquaman 2 changed to Arrives by Mon, Mar 11 about two weeks ago.So hopefully those arrive and are in the clear.

But this has given me serious pause about getting any more exclusives from Walmart. I'm now scared to pre-order the Dune Part 2 steelbook or the Deadpool 3 one next fall since you know that they are getting those exclusives.

Losing Best Buy and having Walmart take over their exclusives has been an awful experience so far for me for multiple reasons but this one certainly takes the cake and never would

Wow so someone actually did get a shipping notice? I wonder if you are actually getting the special set or someone accidentally packed up the regular steelbook?

Mine still says preparing and arriving Monday Feb 12th. But unless they do an overnight shipment on Sunday....

Probably just a delay in updating shipping info, or an error, like FedEx saying my package in Ft Worth is going to arrive today between 12-4.

So I still haven't got a email confirming the cancelations of my pre-orders of The Hunger Games The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes Collectors Edition(dammit,I really wanted this ) and The Marvels steelbook.Also none of my gift cards have been credited back the money yet.Meaning I can't even re-order The Marvels steelbook or order the standard steelbook release of Ballad if I decided to until those funds are put back on the cards.I called Walmart around 5pm yesterday. It's ten of 12pm now today. How much longer should I wait?

Again, I really wanted the Ballad Collectors Edition It would be great if things worked out and I still got these two orders but I have no way knowing if the reason the funds aren't back on my gift cards(the guy said it could take a few hours but it's been almost 19 houirs.) and still no email confirmation that the order cancelations went thru. is because the two preorders were already prepared and are shipping.

Received my copy via FedEx today, website still says preparing. For added fun, the original order I canceled because it was a higher price also showed up even though it says the total charge for that order is 0 dollars

So basically we have no real way of knowing what's happening with our orders whether something was canceled or not until or unless they show up or never do.

Okay, so I just had my copy delivered. I can tell you that the Walmart site still shows my copy as not yet shipped and that I haven't been charged (I can confirm the latter). But I have it.

As far as packaging: It was shipped in one of those flimsy cardboard mailers (the ones that always crush corners because they are crimped around the edges). But there was a piece of very thick corrugated cardboard placed in the mailer on either side of the steelbook. I haven't opened it yet, but it looks mint. Make of that what you will if it's what we can expect from Walmart.
