A bit sad they don't have more faith in these films to give it a wide release.

Excited about this, the check out process was frustrating.

Looks like a great set. Shame it's another SF store exclusive though, but not a bad value for the amount of films included.

I do wonder why they're labeling TERROR BENEATH THE SEA as a "bonus film" and simply not just one of the films in the set? Does it not really belong as well or something?

edit: Answering my own question, I assume it's because it's only English-dubbed, and not Japanese-language like the rest.

Aw, man. I was really excited to see that Invasion Of The Neptune Men and Prince Of Space were going to be put out on blu ray....but they're not in english. Kind of like how they ruined the Ultraman blu ray set by not being in english.

Too bad they didn't release Prince of Space Part 2 (64 min) as they were released a couple weeks apart originally. Maybe on a possible future release.

Now I'm wondering if it being a limited exclusive is a Toei thing. These should have the same sales potential as the Chiba sets. If anything most of the films in this set are better known in the US too. Maybe Toei would only let them release a Blu-ray for these films this way?

I'm just happy The Magic Serpent was included as that's one of my favorites. Has anyone seen or thoughts on Ninja Scope? I have very little knowledge on that one.

No. First 600 have posters. Once those sell out, it will says 1900.

I don't think I ever tried to order something faster than when I saw this. These are some good titles and will be great to finally see them in Japanese. I know some love their English dubs, but I can't watch Japanese films in English.

I was going to ask if that film was a direct sequel to Watari, Ninja Boy.

Ninja Scope is the 3D Akakage film. Akakage started off as a TV series (Toei's first superhero show in color), which was edited into three movies: Ninjascope, Watari the Conqueror, and Watari and the Fantastiks.
The last two were titled to make it sound like they were sequels to Watari the Ninja Boy, but they're not really related. There's a young ninja named Aokage played by Yoshinobu Kaneko, who later played Watari in Watari the Ninja Boy. It sounds like Shout is going to call the character Watari in the subtitles for Ninja Scope.

This Ninja Scope is a entirely different film, which originally had some scenes in 3D and a few new sequences filmed.

There was also a Akakage anime in the 80's, and a 2001 reboot film called Red Shadow released to DVD by Media Blasters. The character also appeared in the anime OVA Giant Robo: The Day the Earth Stood Still.

250 of these already sold which is pretty good. I actually think this is some pretty good art to be honest. Very excited for this set as most of these are pretty fun films.
