That has to be at least the third or fourth time Ethan Hawke has been in the closet.

Another great closet video. I love Ethan Hawke so much.

Oscilloscope has the rights, so they'll probably handle distribution also.

They started as a home video company.

Also Criterion does videos when people are in New York promoting something. Closet videos don’t just happen when a movie they worked on is coming.

I understood that, but I was just kinda hoping. My mother had access to a screener of Wildcat that she tried to get me access to as well.

The app was garbage and wouldn't work, so I gave up. It's just been top of mind.

I wish Criterion would put Necromancy on blu-ray.

Oh, I've felt that way pretty much since my teen years.

I get that too Owl, feel so at home in a theater setting. For a field trip in high school in the early 80's, we visited a local theater and were able to see the projector rooms and the setup behind the screens. This fascinated me and increased my interest in film even more. In the late 90's I worked a side job at a local AMC theater which afforded me unlimited free movies and I really took advantage of that. I finally finished my dedicated home theater last year and I watch at least one movie everyday, sometimes up to 3 a day. It sometimes makes me sad that there is just no way to fully appreciate all that the world has offered on film up to this point with so many great directors and actors. I do what I can to expose my kids to these gifts and sometimes they even teach me some things I never knew. Good times for sure.

Ended up watching Black Moon Criterion Blu-ray tonight, and it was a strange, yet entertaining experience. Definitely worth a watch if you like a darker take on Alice in Wonderland.

Bought this during the flash sale last year, and I could see why it sells out quickly.

It's not specifically about student protests but Haskell Wexler's Medium Cool is set around the time of the 1968 Democratic National Convention, and includes footage from that event showing police and protestors facing off. It's a terrific film that captures the chaos and public unrest going through America at the time.

Intimate Lighting (Ivan Passer Czechoslovakia, 1965)

The Model Couple (William Klein France, 1977)

Mr. Freedom William Klein France, 1969)

Who Are You, Polly Maggoo? (William Klein France, 1966)

Three Wishes For Cinderella (Václav Vorlíček Czechoslovakia, 1973)

A Short Film About Killing (Krzysztof Kieślowski Poland, 1988)

Los Ojos Vendados (Carlos Saura France, 1978)

1968 was a horrible year. Thank goodness for Apollo 8 near year’s end. A little bit of a lift from from all the bad things.

Bresson's The Devil, Probably might satisfy this for you. Streaming on the criterion channel currently as well.
