Has anyone used the GLS Audio Black Chrome banana plugs? At $80.00 for 40 plugs (20 Red/20 Black), it seems a little pricey compared to other gold/brass colored ones on the market.

Any thoughts?
Yeah Lou, I have them on my set-up. I used Canare Star Quad cable which I built to bi-wire my set-up. I used the heat shrink tubing and they look very nice. I'll warn you though, the screw inside the plugs does not seem to hold my speaker wire very well. It is not too terribly difficult to pull the wire from the back of the plug. Performance is great, although I would not say it is any more exceptional than my other plugs (Tributaries brand).

Another word of caution, if you are planning on using Canare Star Quad or similar cable, the side you plug into the back of the receiver (or amp) in a bi-wire set-up is a little tight because the back of these cables taper in.

If I knew then what I know now, I'd look elsewhere. You'll be happy with the performance and if you are not planning on a bi-wire configuration, YMMV.
