Just picked up Death Before Dishonor from EBay for a little bit over 17 dollars tonight so it was totally worth it huge fan of Fred Dryer especially Hunter. So I’m excited to rewatch this again next week. I’m trying to find certain Scorpion films titles on Blu-Ray on EBay that I’m interested in mostly action films, and dramas. However, I am a huge fan of thrillers so I’ll try to find good prices on EBay on any thriller films Scorpion Films released on Blu-Ray.

Be sure to check Grindhouse Video.....Mike (owner) probably owns the majority of physical stock available for Scorpion Releasing and Code Red.

Many titles are marked buy 2 get 1 free.

I'm more into Scorpion for most non-horror titles with some exceptions while with Code Red it's mostly horror including Slithis of course I still plan on buying it.

Yeah, I read that part in the post of yours I quoted. Just trying to be helpful, there are plenty of non-horror titles available.

Thanks there's a lot of stuff including two films I have been eyeing since watching the trailers for both that being The Killing Time, and Stand Alone both thrillers of course.

Both of those are 100% worth blind buying... find a third title for free

Oh I do plan on buying six Scorpion Video titles this month

That being
Stand Alone
The Killing Time
Eye of the Tiger
Shredder
Bucktown
POW the Escape
One horror title that definitely interested me

Also Lone Wolf Mcquade which I still don’t own on Blu-Ray.

That sounds like a great list

Plus a few Code Red horror titles in July

I'd put Lone Wolf, Eye of the Tiger, and Bucktown at the top of your list.

Be warned, the compression on POW is horrendous. Even worse than the recent WAC slate.

I'm going to go with Bucktown, Shredder, and Lone Wolf MCQuade for the first three for next week. After that well I'm going with Stand Alone, Eye of the Tiger, and The Killing time.

Beautiful release. No show-stopper issues for me.
(In full disclosure: I think I saw a couple of the forest/running scenes which showed some ringing on the runner - but that could be my calibration - someone will have to confirm).

Watched international version with English language (then commentary with subtitles on). It is a slow-burn story, but I'm OK with that.
The cinematography is unbelievable. Every scene is lit and framed like a work of art.
Picture is filmic and colors look spot on. Another outstanding release from the SR team!
Would you care to elaborate on the difference betwen the 14 minute longer European cut? Were the cuts for content (I see this has a PG rating in the US release) or just trimming of dialog and things like that?

I haven't seen the film but here is a comparison.

Is there a shop besides Grindhouse that still sells Scorpion releases? I want to buy The Fury of the Wolf Man, but Grindhouse don't ship outside of the US. I can't find it on like DiabolikDVD, DeepDiscount and so on. With eBay it would cost $55-60 shipped, and I'm not desperate enough yet to spend this amount.

Grindhouse and eBay are really your only options at this point for this particular title.

Grindhouse bought all the Scorpion/Code Red stock. Only thing to do, is to get someone on here you know to maybe get it and send it to you.

I watched Eye of the Tiger via streaming not that long ago. William Smith was such a freakin' great villain in his prime. I'm not sure how he didn't become a bigger star but I appreciate the work that we do have from him.

I do wish he had more screen time in Eye of the Tiger, as he's the lead villain but he's certainly convincing in the brief scenes that he does have. He just looks like such a creep with that haircut and the tattoo on the top of his head. It's the kind of look where if I saw him coming down the street looking like that, I wouldn't just cross to the other side of the street, I would be thinking "I need to get the hell out of this town". You just know that he's bad news.

So after spending quite a while on the Grindhouse website to buy multiple SR titles to ship to my US forwarding address, it turns out they are also one of those companies that screen the credit card, so as it's not a US credit card, I can't complete my order. So f annoying.

I've greatly loved Smith for a while now.
As a kid watching a lot of TV in the 70's, he seemed ubiquitous. Like Robert Loggia, Dick Miller, and other familiar faces it seemed like he was in everything- SWAT, Rockford Files, Vegas, Hawai5-0, even Kolchak.
Chrome and Hot Leather is the movie that made me realize just how much of a bad-ass he was. I started looking for his credits specifically after that, and would mark any film he was in as blind buy worthy.

If you haven't already, you should read his bio. A little like Kris Kristofferson, he was the real deal.

Yeah, but did WILLIAM SMITH ever appear with HANK WORDEN? If I remember rightly Hank Worden had a small part in EVERY WHICH WAY BUT LOOSE when he's confronted by Cholla The Black Widow (John Quade) and William Smith had a larger part in ANY WHICH WAY YOU CAN . . . but I don't remember offhand if Hank Worden had a part in "Any Which Way You Can".
