Got this in from BBTS. Lights up and plays the sound effect when you put the front piece in. Lights up and plays sound effects when you press the one hidden button and plays the first Japanese opening when you press another button.

It would be nice they'd give GX and 5Ds complete series box sets instead of reprinting what's been readily available for years. They did the same thing with Bonds Beyond Time. Meanwhile GX seasons are selling for hundreds now.

I hope this Steelbook contains the Japanese version too. If not, then this Steelbook is just a cash-grab.

Yugioh is nothing but a cash grab. They’re not gonna shell out the dough to cram a second whole movie on a disc and subtitle it. This is Konami for gods sake… come on…

Feels dumb to ask because TPTB are spending more to make a steelbook; would assume it's the 2019 pressed disc but I'll wait for confirmation that it isn't the 2023 BD-R disc

Yes, and they do not care. Konami's image for Yu-Gi-Oh in the US is current thing and the legacy cut 4kids dub. It's safe and ensures flowing cash. We'll probably never get anything Duel Monsters uncut ever again unless there's regime changes which likely won't happen. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

can anyone confirm that the quality of the 2023 MOD release is the same as the pressed version from 2019? The digitally remastered text is throwing me off, and I'd rather buy the pressed version.
