Alright, here's an odd one.
So I had one ps3 crash a while back and I got another ps3... I have noticed that since I lost my game saves ... some games when you start them back up update my trophy count for the said game to 0% (Wolverine, Uncharted etc.) So when playing I re-earn trophies I already got. When I back out and go to my trophy collection though it shows all that I have had. So for instance 76% Wolverine. They are not lost. HOWEVER ... I only need one trophy to platinum wolverine ... Which is beat the game on hard ... I got tired of trying to beat Deadpool and then my ps3 crashed ![]() So here is my odd question ... Since "in game" I have 0% ... If i just go through the game and earn my "Beat the game on hard" trophy ... which is technically all I need for the platinum ... I wont get the platinum will I? Since I'm assuming you have to earn the platinum in game as opposed to me backing out and walah there it is? Anyone else experience something like this and have any advice? I do NOT know from experience but I am pretty sure you will get the plat. as long as the trophies are synced they count. So if you started a brand new game for the heck of it (instead of a crashed system) and you got one trophy you didn't get originally it should count to the synced total.
i played infamous got a bunch of trophies on good but missed a few non-karma related ones, then got them on my evil playthrough. I still need some but I can't imagine non karma related badges would all have to be got on a single game. i think the same thing applies here. at least i hope so. ![]() definitly let us know what happens |

Funny, i was kinda wondering the same thing in a "what if" scenario. When you sync for trophies, doesn't it sync with the data on the hard drive? If so, wouldn't that mean on a new system you would sync and have no trophies? But then would that mean you lose all your previous trophies? lol There are so many questions i have and i know the answers are out there.

You should get the platinum. The PSN trophies are separate from whatever in-game achievement-type tally a particular title has.
However, you could have a situation where a game requires you to, say, kill 1,000 enemies for a trophy. So you play, kill 999 enemies, and then your system dies, and you have to start over. In that instance you might have to re-kill all those enemies because, I think (someone correct me if need be), that info would be counted up on your local save game until you actually unlock the trophy...at which point, once you have the trophy, you'll always have it. |

A good idea would be to occasionally back up all your saves onto a memory stick or something similar so in case anything every happens, you just copy the save to your ps3 hard drive again. |

Trophies are not based on the game, they are based on your actual trophies. So if your data is wiped out and you start again, you just need to beat the game on hard for the platinum to unlock
![]() And like ppl here said, always back up, at least weekly, that is what I do PS: Deadpool is very easy with the tactic found on youtube, you can kill him in less than 5 mins ![]() |

As easy way to back up your saves:
1. Put a memory stick/flash drive into a USB slot 2. Go to your 'gave saves' folder in the XMB 3. Click ![]() 4. hit Copy --> then find your drive and it copies the file. You can also backup your hard drive using the "back-up utility" in the first XMB list... this backs everything up somewhere on your PS3, which wont help much if you need a new system / want to transfer game saves to another system |

Heh I bought that same flash after my situation ... yeh I just been unmotivated to play Wolvy again since I dont wanna be pissed if the platinum doesnt unlock when I sync up afterwards.
I was lucky enough to have made a save after I beat the game so atleast im starting on HARD and not needing 2 playthroughs |

Wow, never thought about backing up the files, nice! I'm definetly going to start doing that now. Crazy question: what happens if you stick the USB on someone else's PS3 and "paste" the USB info in that person's "game saves" if you can?

I tried that with LBP once and it gave you all the info like inventory, but trophies were disabled, it said so during game start up |
