Packaging could be better but pretty much the norm these days.

Is there seriously a training vid on how to dress, talk, and mug for the cover-screen of these yootoob physical media channels that makes them all blur into the same thing? I could not make it past the 1 minute mark. They need more genetic diversity in this pool to get out of the FAH-rut all these reviews and unboxing vids are in...

...sigh...

Apparently it's all to do with The Algorithm™️. Gurning thumbnails are literally what people want. But yes, it all just bleeds across, it's like there's a manual for how to be a Blu-ray reviewer on YouTube and they're all following it to the letter.

I follow like a handful of youtube accounts and none of them are to do with physical media which is my biggest hobby. I've not come across one that matches my sense of humour or at least has some intelligence to what they are talking about and make it interesting at the same time. I can feel my brain melt when I listen to some monotone person talking about their haul.
My other interest History has the excellent The Rest is History podcast which fits all the brackets of what I expect from these kinda a things, and you feel smarter afterwards.

I watch some of these videos. Most are junk but the one highlighted above may be one of the better ones IMO. It's edited better than most and the guy isn't screaming or talking like a speed reader. I usually do avoid clicking on thumbnails where there's a big bearded dude with bulging eyes.

That stuff on the cases gets all over the discs. Looks like chicken grease. The good news is they easily wipe off with a microfiber cloth but I've had to wipe down a lot of my collection.

Ugly packaging from Warner - same as last time. Looks so cheap and flimsy. I want to preorder V and Balboa steelbooks but I'm not paying $40 a pop lol. Amazon is the only place that I've found that is selling them

Correct. And the bonus features don't include all of the ones from previous sets so you lose either way.

If you register a new email with them, you’ll get 20% off, which makes it $72 with free shipping. That’s $12 a film, with all the errors corrected and two cuts of two of the films. I really think some people around here ONLY check Amazon.
It's surprising that Amazon hasn't dropped their price yet.

It's also because Deep Discount only listed theirs recently, Orbit is sold out, Atomic doesn't have it listed, and last time I checked Bullmoose didn't have it up either.

Bullmoose has had it up. It's cheaper than Amazon, but not by much ($107.97). I normally would've got it from Bullmoose, but I couldn't even steer clear of Gruv on this one.

Gruv's pricing without the e-mail sign-up discount is still only 25% off list. We're living in dark times as physcial media nears it's final destination of niche laserdisc pricing. Outside of GRUV and Deep Discount, nobody is discounting this one much. We know Amazon will get there some day, but since Wal-Mart and Target don't seem to care, neither will Amazon.

I'm guessing as these sell less and less, quantity price breaks are disappearing and these e-tailers aren't able to hit those days of 30-40% discounts off MSRP.

That's what I would have assumed like two years ago, but didn't someone say a while back that the 35mm scenes were all rescanned / rebuilt in 4K for this? I'm guessing that was false then. Bummer.

If that someone was SBK then that was nothing but conjecture pulled from his ass (or reddit, same thing) as usual

I wonder if Diabolik will get this. I have a credit on there I was hoping to apply to this set.

Bullmoose had it up? Must have missed it, I've checked their multiple times and couldn't find a listing.

Probably going to go with Deep Discount, but going to see if Atomic or Orbit gets stock in this week.

Thanks for the heads up! I canceled my Amazon order and ordered from GRUV. I've never ordered from them before but hopefully it arrives in good condition and in a timely matter.
