I can't believe this one hasn't gotten a blu ray release by now.

I am. I still remember when most video stores only carried the full-frame version. I was very happy to have found a copy of the letterboxed version. I haven't viewed that disc in many years, so I'd bet that it is letterboxed but not anamorphic.

I'd love to have an anamorphic Blu-ray of the film.

At least it got a DVD release...even though the cover art is terrible.

I always enjoyed this as well. I have a VHS copy I can watch for the time being so no rush for me, but hopefully it's released on Blu-ray someday.

I watched this on prime video and it was HD and thankfully no DNR.

I'm surprised this hasn't hit blu-ray. However, 2023 is the film's 50th anniversary, and Paramount loves releasing anniversary editions so I think there's a good chance this hits blu-ray next year.
