We'll just have to wait and see. Not like it's much longer, a few days.

It would be a shame if the transfers for these films were mishandled. They are both superb works of art.

Recall OF WHAT?? Something we dont KNOW is defective.

If it sucks, I will be very disappointed and wont buy it. But you are jumping the gun here.

Let's hope it does only turn out to be a prankster that was looking for attention.

I propose no more "Gladiator" talk until Tuesday. This is getting really ugly, stupid and childish and the truth is 99% of the people posting here haven't even seen this disc yet.

No need to wait, I can tell you right now what will happen. One group of users will cry "They ruined it, I want my money back!", second group will say "Well, there's some DNR and other shenanigans going on, but I can live with it" and a third group will be ecstatic about the HD image and great audio, saying there's nothing wrong with the release.

I love my crystal ball. I've named it "The Bloody Obvious".

Something has been processed so much that VFX have actually disappeared. How is that so many of you don't see that as a defect?

Robert Harris has even attested to this. Not to mention a German site, another European site, none of which are AVS.

What will it hurt to demand a recall? You get the movie a little late, they examine it and don't change it? Hell we've waited this long.

Recall/reneging; whatever you'd like to call it. The movie is due to be released on Tuesday, so it can be presumed that the copies are on the way to retailers, if they haven't already arrived.

What the hell is scary? I am not claiming there IS a conspiracy etc etc. I am simply saying that I wont judge it until I see it in motion. We have seen sheenanigans before. Are these? I have no idea, and THATS my point. I dont KNOW and you dont KNOW.

Links to Harris' attestments?

Personally, I can't even see the GIFs in motion at work, so I can't say how good or bad it looks. Plus, we're talking about a few seconds of a full-length movie. Is that going to be bad enough for me to hold off? I dunno.

Well, in addition to the theatrical cut looking like it has wax figures walking around, whereas the extended cut is pristine.

My comments are solely based on the screen captures I've seen on various websites (and the screenshots do differ).

Um no...he did not. He explained how the error could occur, NOT that it did.

Ugh....screenshots made by ?????? You? Someone you know?

I've seen those too. Who knows what's been done to them after they were snapped. I'll wait until next week before I grab my torches and pitchforks.

You are missing my point. I am all for a recall if it is crap. My point is, we dont know if it is because we have not seen it.
