6 years later, I'll finally get the chance to watch this very impressive 3D conversion again. Was it ever confirmed if it would have the aspect ratio changes? Apologies if this was confirmed earlier in the thread, there are a lot of posts to go through.

I went on the Turbine site and under the specs, it looks like it will have the aspect ratio changes.

Was confirmed with the official tech specs from Turbine weeks ago. So all IMAX scenes are intact Will be a wonderful 3D experience in all our sweet little home 3D cinemas around the globe i guess

Thousands thanks again Turbine to make the impossible possible

I believe the source of the bootleg was an on-demand HDTV stream from Sky Movies in the UK.
Had he the Turbine disc, he would probably have mentioned the AR changes which are absent from his examples...

Yes, guess his source was taken from a VR headset streaming service and was AI-remastered. Heard the VR source had no IMAX scenes included. Sky 3D had. Because of the existence of a non IMAX 3D version we can so damn happy that the official disc comes with IMAX

Oh nice, that's very cool! So you get your choice of covers, and neither of them have the FSK rating logo. Awesome!

I can't wait for mine to arrive lol, and I can't believe that I will finally see this in 3D and own it on Blu-ray! It's one of my favorite films.

Turbine advertizes it explicitly as region-free.

He might have taken scenes from VR. But I have seen the AI remaster and I saw zero indication of the usual AI skin problems.

Thumbs up What a treat

Today evening I got the entire package (Germany) and just watched "MI:Fallout" in 3D on my projector. Wow, what an experience. Not only is the movie one of the best in the "Mission Impossible" franchise. It also has deliberatly so many scenes with perspectives of great depth that make for mindblowing 3D views. It is really such a treat. The cherry on the cake is the superb Atmos-soundtrack that also widens the perception. Many, many thanks to Turbine for making this experience possible.

In comparison, the AI upscale is surprisingly respectable, but there are too many scenes where there is no mistaking the poor source and AI artefacts. Scanning through the official copy, there is a very clear improvement in perceived 3D depth. I don't remember the Atmos track being a standout but it's been a while since I heard it and my system sounds very different now so we'll see.

I look forward to seeing the disc version. While the 3D itself was decent, I found the bootleg far too low in quality to actually want to sit through it.

The final version I saw was very watchable but this official 3D Blu-ray wipes the floor with it. Everyone with a 3D TV (or projector or headset) should be buying this 3D Blu-ray, I love watching these kinds of conversions almost as much as I love watching vintage 3D.

This is what I predicted a few days ago. Sounds truly amazing!

Has anyone in the US had their DHL shipment status move beyond this point?
