So far I've only seen the 2D version of Migration. Nice movie but missing the 3D edge. Now I'm very curious how good the 3D will be. Entire package preordered.

I ignored the 2D version but did note that everyone only really had positive comments about the 3D version so am very much looking forward to this one.

I've been able to watch this movie in 3D for some time. but the look put me off. Then when I scanned through it the rest put me off. I like a lot of "so called" kids content from Pixar, Dreamworks and Illumination. But this one just doesn't grab me at all.

The movie is OK but in 2D I wouldn't anything more than rental. It's the 3D that shines.

Mine shipped but it's still in Germany. Anyway I'm still planning to watch it on my vacation and will let you know what I think, as with Mission Impossible, on 11/14.

Has anyone had a chance to watch this yet? Just want to make sure there aren’t any technical issues (like the Random Space Media Sing 2 release) before ordering.

I checked the disc out and it seemed fine but really you should order with confidence. Turbine are a class act and will replace discs if there's a problem with them.

Migration benefits a lot from the extra horsepower of the disc versus the Vudu stream, it's the strongest recent theatrical release outside of Deadpool & Wolverine.

Every other shot has foliage and beaks projecting forward to set the scene or accentuate drama by brushing past the plane of the screen. 'Wow' moments are limited but there is one spectacular scene of a fork poking you in the eye.

More importantly, the film was produced with 3d in mind with numerous slow-motion scenes and in-your-face perspectives that maximise the stereo. It's noticeably superior to The Wild Robot and Transformers One conversions, just a shame the storytelling here is so rote.

Nit-picking I noticed the 2:39:1 framing breaks the 3d illusion in a few scenes, notably the herons, with their longer beaks sliced off.

I'm overjoyed by this release, it is a dream come true to me. Ever since seeing Migration presented in Dolby 3D I've been desperately waiting to experience it again in its native stereo form. Thank you so much to Turbine for making this possible!

Despicable Me 4 returned to 1.85 and I immediately found the difference to be noticeable - the extra vertical real estate is much appreciated. I hope Illumination sticks with the taller AR as they used to in the past. However, I still think Migration is the greatest 3D presentation since Avatar 2, it really is amazing.

I just watched the Blu-Ray and I can confirm the 3D in this movie is OUTsTANDiNG ! Lots of depth and good layering in nearly all scenes, nice smaller popouts lots of time, especially the beaks regularly poke out of the screen. Again a very well done animation by Illumination Studios!
As expected the picture quality is sensational crisp and colorful. Sound quality is also very good but not peak dynamic, probably for the younger audience. I consider the movie itself not being a top title, but it offers a charming and entertaining story. Anyway, in 3D it is a great experience.

Received mine, over here at the West Coast. Was also able to easily rip it to my NAS. 3D + ATMOS is a nice touch (not that I can utilize ATMOS)!!

Have the blu ray 3D, will watch Migration 3D soon. Sounds like it'll be a great 3D experience, thanks.

Just finished watching it, very enjoyable. It took me a little while to get into as the setup is very familiar but from the heron scene onwards I was loving it. There's nothing new here but it's done well and is a pleasure to watch in 3D. I thought the film could have popped the environment out more but the characters were frequently out of the screen so I'll take that. Can't fault the presentation, very glad to have this one in my collection.
