i dont think she minds as long as she gets the leftover food on our dinner plate......lol

our 2nd dog, scooby 2 1/2 years old, a white 100% jack russel loves the new addition. every time the baby cries he RUNS to her and then runs back to us and lets us know she is crying (like we cant hear her)

i feel as long as you have well trained dogs who are LOVING then a new baby wont be a problem.

the jack russel is one hyper dog and he poses no threat to the baby nor ever has.....he just likes 'watching over her' when she is sleeping by sleeping next to her

now if you get a pitbull or whatever, then youre asking for trouble.

im a fan of the pound as-well. it feels good to save a dog from living in the cage that i feel like they will always remember how i saved them.
god forbid the day my 13 1/2 year old diog dies.....im going to the pound a month later to get a new 6 week old AND going to get a greyhound as-well.
dogs dont forget ala elephants. they KNOW you saved them
This is why I'm getting a Boxer...they are consider one of the best 2 or 3 dogs with kids. It has been documented that they actually have some kind of personality trait within them that tends to have them gravitate towards children. I think they look awesome and yet they are not too small nor too big. They may have some energy, but that works with me too. I can't wait to get one, but with a 5 month old and my 4 yr old daughter, we'll wait until they get a bit more independent before bringing in a dog. At least we fenced in our yard this year, so that's one step closer to getting one. I think we will get our Boxer from a Boxer rescue that is around me. I wish you lots of luck Don with 2 dogs, geez!
