You forgot to include the superman, batman, Harry potter, pirates of the Caribbean, fast and furious, nightmare on elm st, friday the 13, terminator,and indiana jones sagas but then again your thread title wasn't "best movie franchises."

With that said I voted for star wars and would have voted for star wars anyways had the movies I mentioned been included in your poll.

Err if you check again you will see that Superman, Batman, Indy and Terminator are all in there.

I guess I could have put the horror ones but the generall consensus is that only a few are good within each respective franchise.

No other set of films has had an impact as big as Star Wars, big, small, good, bad, worse, prequels, Jar Jar and all... The cinematic and cultural impact of this saga eclipses all else.

Ingmar Bergman's trio of questioning faith. They are loosely a trilogy...but I tried to cater for wide variety of tastes.

From the looks of it though I may as well should have just put Star Wars VS Lord of the Rings LOL.

I'm actually surprised that noone has mentioned the Vengeance trilogy yet.

IMO 1.Star Wars (ep. IV,V,VI ofcourse), and then 2.the Lord of the Rings, followed by 3.The Godfather (Would be my #2 pick but part 3 depresses me to much).

I like the prequel trilogy more but the original trilogy started it all so the SW OT.

For me the only worth watching one in Wook's VT is Sympathy. The other two while good are nothing special. Also if people have seen more of Korean cinema than Wook's films then they will know that they aren't at all anything special in comparison.

I love LOTR but I have to say that Star Wars (of course, 4,5,6) is the best trilogy every made. Nothing can touch it. It's pure enjoyment. LOTR is the second best trilogy ever made. The two trilogies are in a class of their own.

Yes, but, 'nothing special in comparison' still makes them leagues better than the Blade trilogy {which has 2 votes}
