Yes, as of right now it's about 120 HD-DVD titles on the market to about 80 for Blu-ray... that number will change very quickly and the Blu-ray titles will be getting better and better while the same may not be true for HD-DVD since it doesn't have the studio depth.

I'm not sure that the numbers will be equal by the end of this year, but perhaps they will be much closer. The real meat of Blu-ray will come when disc production is really going strong a BD50 discs (dual-layer) are more normal. Once that is standard, then I expect most studios will do Blu-ray and DVD releases on the exact same date.

If you read some more, the obvious excpetion is Universal Studios who only release moves on HD-DVD... unfortunately. This may change in the future, so don't get worked up over it. Likewise, Disney, Fox, and Sony studios only will release movies on Blu-ray, and not HD-DVD.
