I bet many voice actors would be over the moon about $15,000 for around 15 hours of work based on what we’ve learned since her original videos.

What a terrible turn of events. She literally used fans of Bayonetta to spread these lies and called out (not by name) Jennifer Hale, one of the kindest and hard working VAs in the industry who has done actual work to help get VAs better treatment and pay in the industry. Seriously, she's amazing.

Definitely going to be picking this game up now.

Got my copy today with Steelbook as a bonus. Not sure when I‘ll actually come to this though, haven’t played the first two games so far.

Cool Collection! Here in Germany a local retailer (MediaMarkt) had a pre-order Bonus Steelbook. Not sure if it was exclusive to only this retailer, but I think so. They sometimes have those Pre-Order Bonus Steelbooks as a Nintendo reward and get them from Nintendo Germany directly. It’s a bit strange which titles are getting those Bonus Steelbooks. For example Splatoon 3 didn’t get any bonus at all, but was discounted to only 42€ at release date. Mario Strikers only got a Poster not a Steelbook and was full price at 60€. Not sure how Nintendo decides which release is getting a certain pre-order bonus reward and which doesn’t.

Depends where you are. It got a recent reprint in Canada for example.

Some stores give it out with a regular copy.
Some others with a Collector's Edition.

I got steelbooks included with Collector's Editions.
And it is quite ridiculous. It was 80 EUR for a Collector's Edition. But also 80 EUR for a Collector's Edition plus steelbook. Yeah, doesn't make sense at all. THey had both available at the same time.

To be fair though the steelbook for Bayonetta 3 quite sucks.

What's the point in a digital copy when you can Bayonetta 1 on cart now.
I got both on Wii U already, I got a copy for 1 from Japan for around 20 bucks only, but I'm surely not paying 40 or 50 bucks for 2.

Is that copy even a download code, or download via cart?

Games like Final Fantasy X-2 were even included as a download code, which REQUIRES the cart, which is completely idiotic. This means you can't sell the cart and keep X-2, and you can't sell X-2. And the Japanese cart with both games on it still goes for 5000 - 6000 Yen in Japan, meanwhile that trash release in the west can be gotten for cheap.

the game is nothing to write home about so far, will give it a couple more hours and see. definitely selling it, but not sure I’ll bother beating it.

Bayonetta and Devil May Cry creator Hideki Kamiya is leaving Platinum Games in October.

I guess there’s no need for a remaster, but maybe a Switch 2 performance patch for the trilogy is in order (and physical copies with the updates installed, naturally).

Love this series and I’m glad Nintendo kept it going, but I really wish we could get 2 and 3 released on PlayStation and Xbox.
