IMO, no.
I would suggest watching them in the order they were released Underworld, Evolution, Rise of the Lycans. You won't miss much, or anything really, if you watch the prequel first, I just think the first one works better without prior knowledge of the history. |

In my opinion i would say start with underworld followed by evolution and then go and watch rise of the lycans
RotL is a prequel, but it's not as good of a film as the filst one was and IMO alot of the film relys on you having seen the first 2 (not plot wise but for just pure enjoyment factor), and like the star wars movies, watching the prequel first will take away some of the cool story twists and characters in Underworld and Evolution So bottom line is watching it in timline order won't ruin the series but the best better way to experience the trilogy is to watch them in release order |

Grease 2 was a fun movie. I support your post.

![]() Anyways, my vote goes to watching them in 1, 2, 3 order. After seeing Rise of the Lycans earlier, I thought watching that first would make sense, but there are some valid points here for watching them in release order. |

My vote is for release order. The second is a weaker film than the first but adds some great characters to the mythos. The third has the best acting of all three movies.
But if you insists on watching them chronologically, this is how you do it: 1) Pre-title prologue of Underworld Evolution 2) Underworld: Rise of the Lycans 3) Underworld 3) The remainder of Underworld Evolution (you can skip the post-title prologue as it's merely a summary of the events of Underworld) |
