Which is why I asked if this was a worldwide disc. Else, the English subtitles will always be there, even if I have other subtitles turned on. The blu-ray doesn't do this.

Thank you for posting! On behalf of your good looking caps I went ahead and ordered the UHD steely. This one's a grower and among all the other dystopian future movies I've grown very partial to it! Too original to pass up!

Even though the detail bump isn't huge the HDR is doing a lot of highlight detail recovery on Snowpiercer. Plus having it in the proper aspect ratio is a big plus. Will pick this up at some point

Thanks ko8e, can you match some of the caps of the French disc from caps-a-holic. Felt like that was the best release prior to this 4K.

Fair enough. Based on the bitrate it seems the Canadian disc shares the same video encode with the Lionsgate, and the only difference from the French edition is that it's zoomed in / cropped.
