I assume this one will become the review thread for the film, so I thought I'd bump it before someone else made another thread and since the film is going to be out tomorrow.

I get the distinct feeling that this movie will be to gamers what Sandra Bullock's The Net was to Internet enthusiasts back in the day.

I am very much looking forward to seeing "Gamer". However, I cannot freakin' wait to see "Law Abiding Citizen", that movie looks sic!

I would really like to see this. I'm just surprised that it hasn't been advertised more than it has. I've seen one trailer on TV, one at a movie theater, and other than that I've had to go online for any information about this movie. I also agree with ed4246 that I'm anxious to see Law Abiding Citizen.

Based on previews Gamer looks like one of the worst movies ever made. Every aspect of the preview looks horrible to me, particularly Ludacris, who is just an awful actor. In addition how can you have a fantastic actor like Michael C. Hall and not feature him in the trailer (other than a picture when they're mentioning the stars)?

I saw a preview for Law Abiding Citizen last night and it looks interesting. At first it seemed like it'd be your standard revenge movie but then it got all crazy with mind powers and explosions. Will give it a rental.

I'm just judging the movie by the preview. If I just read a synopsis of the film I'd think it sounds decent, but the preview was horrible. I have seen it multiple times and wouldn't even know what the movie is about without reading about it online. That is just my opinion though.

As for Law Abiding Citizen, I go to the theater about 4 times a year so it takes a really good looking movie to get to go to the theater. Can't stand the people in theaters talking on cell phones so I'd rather just watch it on my home theater.

I might go catch it tomorrow if I can finish writing this project I am working on. It's one I've been so-so about because I've seen the three main films that interested me this summer.

I'm 100% the same way, only I don't even go that many times a year. I wait for just about everything to come out on Bluray so I can watch it in the comfort of my own home on my glorious home theater without the rude people and the $5.00 popcorn....which I can also make better at home, and have a beer with it if I so choose. The only difference is that I normally buy them instead of renting them. Personal preference.

Seeing that there are only two reviews on RT I'm assuming this film wasn't screened for critics. Usually a bad sign.

I think this movie will be in the same vein as Doom. It'll appeal to some, but overall it'll be passed on.

I want to see it though.

looks interesting. Lots of ripoff material (Running Man, Death Race 2000, etc) but with a twist of the prisoners being controlled by a fanboy. lol

Seriously? Have you even SEEN the trailer?

He's not only IN the trailer, he's got several LINES including him explaining the "game" on a talk show.

They have commercials for it non stop on FX

A lot of people around here seem to like to read the numbers from RottenTomatoes for movies, so

This movie is currently at 29% with 2 good reviews and 5 bad reviews with a 4.1/10 score from those 7.
The Community has it at 53% with 17 good to 15 bad (5.7/10 average).
