I like what they did with the Lifeguard release...lots of different looks. Slip has different art in back plus the case art is reversible and both different than the slip art.

Received Welcome to Fun City and it instantly became my favorite release. Meant to initially watch a few trailers and ended up watching the entire 2nd disc (late 70s-80s is my sweet spot). Just a flood of nostalgia and memories as each trailer unfolded. It's best just to let it roll and not know what the next trailer is. Many nice choices. One film, with Lee Van Cleef, I'd never heard of but had to see after that and found, watched on yt. Just a great disc. Also the extras is cool on how companies used to be promote their rosters.
Was a little panicked when reading the back as it says "3 disc" set and thought I was missing something. Figured it was a misprint and sure enough, this morning they said on FB that that was the case.

Does anyone know what sort of packaging Fun City uses on direct orders (for single title orders, or for order of 2-3 titles)?

I usually buy their titles from DiabolikDVD (it ends up a bit cheaper, as an international user, plus I can combine it with items from other labels), but in this case sadly they sold all their stock of Welcome to Fun City, so I'll have to get it directly from Fun City.

thank you

When I ordered just the Fatal Femmes set a while ago, it was shipped bubble wrapped in a sturdy box, I would assume it's still the same now.

I just ordered the new Welcome to Fun City set, so I'll find out soon enough.

On another note, does anyone know if Racing with the Moon, and Lifeguard, are region-locked A, or like several of their recent titles, they play in Region B players?

thanks

Is there a list of what trailers are on this release anywhere?

No, there isn't. The label itself has apparently "discouraged" people from submitting a full list of the titles. However, several titles have leaked out in various reviews and comments here and elsewhere.

Just a heads-up that Baby It's You is available for pre-order at Diabolik now (both slipcover and standard). Lifeguard and Racing With The Moon both also available there with and without slips.

My copy of Heavenly Bodies was bubble wrapped in a sturdy box, same way Diabolik ships.

Welcome to Fun City is incredible! Watched Disc 1 all through last night and will finish the rest of the set over the weekend. Really cool release, well done!

Glad to hear.

Since I was late in placing an order on DiabolikDVD, I "had" to order this one directly, which made things a bit expensive ($21 to ship a single item), but at least I'm happy to know it's well protected.

I love trailer compilations, and this one looks like a winner.
They even got Frank Santopadre as one of the people doing the commentary, which is awesome.

Falling in Love just announced for blu on 5/6.
A flop in its day but I've always liked it and it holds up well. De Niro and Streep are terrific together.

Saw the post on FCE's Facebook page earlier about Falling in Love. Have a vague memory of first finding out about the film, but it was some time ago. A likely purchase this release (three titles from the boutique label that I'm interested in getting (the other two being Lifeguard and Baby It's You).

So I think since Fun City is not only doing new to Blu-Ray titles from Paramount mostly, but also doing re-releases of 80s Olive Films titles here's some re-releases, and non-re-releases I would like to see them do. Also I finally ordered my first Fun City titles today I finally did it this time from Diabolik DVD. Anyways, here's some titles I would like to see come back out from this label, or for the very first time ever.

Some Kind of Hero starring Richard Pryor
Ladies and Gentlemen The Fabulous Stains
The River Rat
That Was Then This Is Now
Blue City surprised Fun City hasn't re-released this yet
Heartburn
Distant Thunder
The Out of Towners original one
A New Leaf
Badge 373
The Education of Sonny Carson
The Gambler
King of the Gypsies

Just some suggestions for Fun City to put out

My extreme disappointment upon received what was supposed to be the slipcover edition of Heavenly Bodies from a french site, and I open the package and it's the bloody standard edition. I already expect arguments, but this website is only listing the slipcover image, nothing else at all, so there is no room for misinterpretation. But the disappointment is big.

On the flip side, just pre-ordered Falling In Love directly.

I think it's a missed opportunity not to tie Falling in Love and Frankie & Johnny (another long-neglected Paramount title) together and make a romantic Heat double feature set.

Hope we get some more StudioCanal French films from Fun City. Maybe some of those 80's Alain Delon ones.

Good news about Falling in Love. Maybe they will release We're No Angels which is long overdue.

My package with Welcome to Fun City should be arriving today, I'm looking forward to that one.

I caught up with some of the FCE releases I picked up during the liquidation sale at VS, and I thought Born to Win was OK but pretty forgettable, and I found The Coca-Cola Kid to be really strange and not necessarily in an interesting way. It's a fish out of water anti-comedy where none of the jokes land and the romance is beyond contrived. It needed more Australia and less Eric Roberts going aw-shucks in a southern drawl.
