Very impressive and I'm glad it wasn't used as a gimmick. It built tension and almost forces you to watch the episodes uninterrupted. You're drawn into the scenes with the characters, also thanks to the excellent camerawork.
The very last scene of the last episode actually was slightly improvised. And apparently it worked out so much better
[Show spoiler]The Dad was supposed to get into his sons bed and pull the cover over him but he tucked the teddy in instead
. Also some other small bits were improvised aswel appraently

Apparently this wasn't produced by Netflix themselves ? I wonder what the chances of a disc release are.

Saw all 4 episodes in 2 nights.Fantastic show. The entire cast was great but my hat goes off to what I feel is the best performance from a child actor in a long time.Owen Cooper as Jamie Miller was truly Oscar worthy in my opinion.Def will keep a look out for this young man's future.A first time acting performance that stands out above the rest.Kudos to Stephen Graham as the father was amazing to.Had me crying at the end.Everybody with kids should see this and talk about it.Great Netflix mini-series.

Direct and straight to the point with a very thought provoking topic, especially for parents. Maybe a little too on the nose with it's message but still very powerful.

Thing I loved was that all 4 episodes weren't the same formula. Each focused on different people and aspects of what is happening and what they're going through.

Not sure if the plan is to do more and focus on the same characters and the future of the case or they'll go anthology and do something new. Either way I'll be there if they do more.

Default thought I'd chime in just to say...

Seriously, a damn fine mini-series.

Like a lot of people here, I'm a huge fan of Stephen Graham and I have been for some time now. He was absolutely fantastic throughout the series. Although, my favorite episode had to be #3... Owen Cooper and Erin Doherty were amazing and the level of tension between them was nothing less than riveting. Good stuff, which I've been recommending to anyone and everyone...

Meh. It should’ve been a 2 hour movie.

Episode one was completed on the second take and episode four was take fourteen.

Wow. Thanks, that's great info.

I was even more amazed at episode 2 with all the outdoor scenes and all the kids.

Stephen Graham should win an Emmy regardless.

I like Stephen Graham, but the premise of the show is subverted.

As much as I've enjoyed the show, I don't get why some people have this intense one-shot fetish thingy.

Yeah - that was fresh. Its very procedural & in real time which I like. Its as if you're watching a real, live case unfold versus a bunch of cut scenes and all that stuff.

Cool. Its a limited series too which means it shouldnt drag out or have a bunch of filler.
