Not true in the absolute least. I know people who create adult content and are totally well adjusted, happy people. They also are not involved in abuse and drugs. I am about to get into that field myself and I'm not forced into it. And I'm not compelled because of desperate financial issues. I just want to do this. I am creative and have always had an interest in that side of things. Among others. I can't speak on women being objectified in this business. But I will ask you this: Why women? Are you saying that men can't objectified in this business? If so, that sort of negates your whole post. It also comes off a bit sexist. But I may be reading more than what's there.

To answer the question requires only a number. No websites, no names. Just a number. No trouble. You also didn't answer my second question.

My guess is that this is why you made excuses instead of answering.

1. You've personally spoken to nobody in the industry.
2. Pleasure is a movie. This means it a work of fiction.

This means that your claims are nothing more than your opinion, even though you say they are facts.

I know quite a bit about what goes on behind the scenes in the adult entertainment industry. I've been following it for 27 years or more now. I'd wager a guess that I have more insight about it than you may have. As for the movie you mentioned, it stars many prominent adult film stars and directors. One such actor Lance Hart, who started his own company, regrets being in the film because he felt duped. He was told the movie wasn't going to make him and the industry look bad. What ended up on film was a hit piece.

Which is odd as the director herself, Thyberg, had started mentioning that the movie was part of her “journey” from being “an anti-porn activist” to realizing models and others in the adult industry were people, too. That last part was from a simple Google search. Now, none of this is a "gang-up" or meant to be any sort of attack. We're just simply countering with what is a larger truth. Sure, what you said is true. But it is not true for EVERYONE in that industry.

And you neglect to mention all the good the adult industry has done. Back when porn started out (60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's), there was no representation whatsoever for

people. Kids in the midwest and other places where that was a limited thing for them were able to see themselves reflected in those magazines and videos. I recommend watching the documentary Seed Money. It's all about Chuck Holmes, the founding of Falcon, his impact on the community in a larger sense, and a lot of good that he did behind the scenes. This is something I am very passionate about for a number of reasons. Which is why I am well versed in this.
