And their HD stuff is not true HD. Only place I know of true 1080p HD outside of blu-ray or the dead HD DVD is Vudu any of the other streaming or downloads like Netflix, Apple TV and others is not true 1080p HD...

720P is an HD resolution as well, but it is highly compressed when streaming. Again... it's not always about the video and audio quality.

Agree. My wife and I love watching these hard to find foreign films. Yeah, I love 1080P as well as the next person but for these movies I can live with lower video quality.

I'm on the edge joining Netflix one movie a month rent for the exact same reason you state. I have a list of dozens of hard to find, foreign and cult flicks that Netflix seems to have and it will be nice to have this option available if you just want to "watch" a movie some night. just dragging my feet because of knowing that I will be having 8.99 charged to my credit card every month (if that's how it works) and the problems that could cause if I decide to cancel.

The receiver can matrix the sound but it's not true 5.1 of course. It not as big of a concern for my family when streaming to get 5.1, mostly we use it to quickly check if a movie is worth renting, watching TV shows and checking out documentaries. We know what we are getting with Netlix streaming, and our expectations are much lower for both audio and video. We only expect the best when watching Blu-rays

Samsung does get a lot of bad reviews, but I've been very happy with both my 2500 and 3600. The LG 370 model is down to $185 on Amazon and that seems like a great deal for people who have Netflix to get a player at a good price.
