Very cool, had no idea you played guitar! I just read up on it over at the Sweetwater website, very cool musical history there.

Drinking some coffee and researching camper vans & small trailers, with the instability of today's economy I think I may be forced into "vanlife" in the not-too-distant future.

Technically not “upstate” but coming from a NY family, you’re either in the city or on Long Island. Anything else is NY State unless North, which translates to “upstate” heh.

I was in the Binghamton/Vestal area.

Throwing my newfound sobriety out the window and enjoying an iced cold Yuengling after working a 10hr shift tonight. I really shouldn't since I have to be up in 5 hours to get the kid ready for school, but what the hell. I'm debating on making the 2hr trip up north to my sister's grave after dropping the kiddo off at school later today, I'll probably just wait until my next day off though.

Mannnnn these amusement parks kick my butt as I get older, LOL. I am recovering (while back at work) from yesterday's trip. I wish my body could still handle all the spinny rides my daughter loves.

That's only 1 park. If you hit Disney World and its four parks, you'll need a vacation after your vacation.

I try to split it up with a few park days followed by a cruise to relax.

I'm so glad you started driving and gave up hooking. I told you that nothing good was going to come from hanging out on those street corners. Glad to see you got yourself cleaned up and found a safer side hustle.

Sitting here on my bed just putting my hand down my pants. Just kidding! But I am sitting here on bed, brushing thy teeth and planning to check out the first standard showing up Final Reckoning. After that, I'll probably head south a bit to Gilroy to check out a motorcycle shop that I visited once just about a month ago. They received two Yamaha XSR900s and that's one of the bikes on my list.

Once I get back to San Jose, I may get a proper meal somewhere, IHOP or Denny's probably, because I can't go the whole day with just a tub of popcorn in the belly.

Hey, I saw this picture on Facebook and it reminded me of the pics that you have posted. I never visited this lake but I think this may be one of the ones that you saw.

Having a fight with my body trying to make it through this work day til I get home. I took yesterday off for not feeling well and I feel slightly worse today. I didn't get much sleep again last night (what a shocker). It's my left leg, my RLS, and medicine not wanting to kick in quickly. Or at all.

If anything, I appreciate the fact that he has openly discussed his mental health issues as a result of their meteoric rise to fame after the first album and his stressful time before the recording of the second album. That industry can and has swallowed artists whole and I feel as though that band has stood the test of time, is still relevant today and that he seems to be one of the more grounded and real people in the music business, but what do I know?

Anyway, all good and again, agree to disagree.

AMEN to everything you said. Especially if you were on Geffen Records. Or it's subsidiaries. DGC was a little better about it's artists, but they still weren't perfect. As much success as the Counting Crows had, they could've been bigger. Their label, DGC, never released a commercial single from their first two albums in the U.S. They were all promo copies. So, the songs that were big on the radio, were just that. Sales for the first two albums were very good. But they could've been bigger. But it is what it is. Geffen/DGC were notorious for this.

Funny story about Cracker. My oldest sister's step kids all went to Georgia. And they all had David Lowery as their teacher. It's hard to believe he is a professor at a college. But what's even more mind blowing is that he is a professor at the birthplace of American College Rock and Alternative. Where the grandfathers of the genre got started. What a hotbed of music and to think David's there.

I would love to get my hands on the Susanna Hoffs Signature Rickenbacker, but it's rather pricey. So is the Brad House Basshouser Fatfish 32 bass that I want. The later is more attainable though.

You should check out the Beethoven model.

Your kid's still in school? I thought school was over about two weeks ago.

You forgot Universal. If you're going to Orlando, you've got to hit up Universal. Now that makes it seven parks. To Do it right nowadays you would need two weeks of vacation time. It's why me and my oldest sister are splitting up our Disney/Universal trips. It's also another reason why I prefer Disneyland.

That's what the fight was about. It started out being about great taste over less filling, but then the bozo chimed in and said Disney World was the happiest place on earth.

Looking at potato chip prices on Target's website. Average price for a bag of chips is $7. Ridiculous.
