That's weird, I was just thinking about That's The Way Of The World. It was actually a Scorpion release. The audio on my Blu Ray is jacked up though, it goes out of sync for large portions of the movie. I remember when I messaged Walt about it, his response was like 'oh well'.

Im not trying to trash him either, I just got the 3:15 The Moment Of Truth Blu Ray for my birthday and was thinking thank God for Walt. A lot of these movies would have never been released if it wasn't for him and Bill.

That's The Way Of The World is a really good movie about the music business. Ed Nelson is especially great in it. It's on Tubi, it's worth checking out.

Excellent soundtrack by Earth, Wind, and Fire as well.

I've told this story before, but it's been a while. Bill is the reason my name has (redux), because it's my second Gotho account. You see, I'm the reason Bill pulled Necromancy in the first place. I was questioning whether it was in fact the uncut version, because of the confusing rating cards (pg at the beginning, r at the end) and the fact the movie was so tame. Being Bill, he didn't exactly help to clarify things either. There were a couple of other members who also questioned the claims of "uncut", but they flew the coop when things got heated. Naturally, when Bill pulled the title, folks were angry, and I was at the center of it, so I decided it was best to bail and asked Blu Titan to delete my account. Unfortunately, that led to accusations of me being a plant by another label trying to sabotage Code Red, so I had to create another account to defend myself. Had to use (redux), since just plain Gotho was now no longer available. Can't make this stuff up. Anyway, that's my Code Red story. Bill was a true curmudgeon, but I miss him too.

Nightmare is probably my most treasured Code Red dvd. Even though it has since been upgraded, I still hang on to that dvd.

I really hope someone is able to re release some of the harder to find Blu's.

I was late to the party and being in the UK I don't know if I would of been able to get them originally anyway!

Savage Streets? I think maybe Kino re done this one?
The Strangeness sounds fun!
Love Butcher
The People Who Own the Dark
Trapped
The Forest
Headhunter
The Jigsaw Murders
Deadly Dreams
Twisted Nightmare
Ghostkeeper - CIP is working on this supposedly coming soon
Sole Survivor

Some of the other horror output has been released by others but the above mentioned are still hard to find or expensive!
hopefully they will come out one day.

Bill did sound like a character!

I specifically sought out some of those rare titles you listed a few years ago and was able to get the Code Red BDs off eBay. One title that eluded me, though, was Shakma. There's a German BD, but I'd love a stateside re-release.

Shakma (1990) deserves a full-blow Vinegar Syndrome or Terror Vision quality 4K UHD upgrade instead!

If my memory serves me correctly:
This was the first Code Red Bru-lay I had trouble tracking down upon its initial release.

Finding out exactly where to place an order online was quite the challenge at the time.
But thanks for that "wild goose chase" Bill, it introduced me to Screen Archives!

Here's another fun fact regarding this title:
Many years ago, I randomly selected this film for a "family movie night" viewing party over at my parents' house.
Shockingly, Shakma (1990) actually received a favorable reception from everyone in the room, especially my dad for some reason.
Since then, anytime there's ever a discussion over what to watch, my dad always shouts out "Shakma!" then starts laughing hysterically.
Everyone thinks he's only joking around at first but then they quickly realize his suggestion and enthusiasm for it is dead serious.

But in his defense, who can resist the terrifying cinematic spectacle of real-life baboon action?:

I remember College Kid had it for sale, but I repeatedly passed on it because it was like $35, and there were other titles I wanted more. Then, he sold off his Code Red stock before I could get around to buying it. I think Screen Archives had it also at one point. In any event, a 4K UHD upgrade would be welcome. It would make a great double-feature with Primal Rage.

I guess he worked so closely with Walt that sometimes Bill forgot which label released certain titles? It sounds like a decent enough movie. I don't know why it sold so poorly?

Is Shakma the one where the monkey has a boner for nearly the entire film? Yeah, I guess Roddy McDowell will do that to you.

I actually have Shakma, but never watched it. Every time I pick it up and consider it, it's like, ehhhh. I long planned to do a triple feature with Link and Monkey Shines, but never seem to get around to it.

I'll always remember December 2017. Bill put Necro-mancy back up for sale for $34 like 2 weeks before Christmas. I ordered one knowing full well how long shipping could take with the Cartel and of course holiday mail. Bill shipped it the next day, and I received it on the 22nd.

I think of it as my Code Red Christmas miracle. I do miss Bill, rest his soul.

Anybody here a former member of AV Maniacs? That's where Bill hung out (that and the Latarnia forums) and where all the fun stuff was happening. Man, I really miss that forum. A lot of those members are now on Rock! Shop! Pop!. I signed up there (posting as "Trench") but it's a VERY quiet place so I rarely go there. Forums are pretty much dead these days but Brulay dot com is cracking along nicely. Anyway, and I think I've told this story before, Bill "banned" me from his store because he thought I was making fun of his Brooklyn accent. All I did was ask him about it. I thought it was strange that a guy from California would have a Brooklyn accent. He never gave the impression he spent any time in Brooklyn. And it wasn't until about a year or so ago that I learned he was half Japanese! He later unbanned me but buying from his store was a headache. RIP, buddy. We're keeping your memory alive here and will keep doing so until the end of times. Bru-lays don't glow on tree.

Shakma is great. Another of my favorite Code Red blind buys.

With all this Necromancy talk though, I decide to revisit it last night. I forgot about the print damage and fade, so those were a slight disappointment, but they don't detract from the storyline at all. The
[Show spoiler]fiery car crash on the way to Lilith
is probably one of the best ever filmed. No CGI used back then!

If it's the same movie, I think I read somewhere that the monkey wouldn't act aggressive, so they had to bring a female onto the set, hence the constant boner.
