High quality motion images require a lot more than just high resolution, but professional filmmakers have been using iPhones since long before 2022 for both shorts and feature films. I was just reading how the sensors and processing of iPhones were used for shooting driving scenes in F1, for example. iPhones don't have the range of lenses and other controls that a full size professional digital cine camera can provide, but with what's provided by Apple, including hardware and processing, they can absolutely provide high end professional quality motion images. And they've been used for that purposed for years now. |
