Default Klipsch SUB 12 or SUB 10

I am about to buy TWO of the Klipsch subs! But do not know if I should buy one 12 and one 10 or get two 12's! Should I but two 12's or get a 10 and a 12? Any advise......???

Buy two identical subwoofers. They are much easier to setup and can work together better. In your case, you should buy two 12" subs and put them in the middle of the left and right side walls about a foot away from the walls.

Make sure you read A Guide to Bass Management and A Guide to Subwoofers (Part II): Standing Waves & Room Modes. They both have stickies.

I have my 2 subs located in these positions and I think they sound great. I agree with BD, as you should start here with these locations for your subs.

I also see in "subwoofer characteristics, placement etc" that the subs listed diagram has the woofers in front of them were My sub 12's have the woofers on the bottom! Does that matter when getting 2 subs? I will put one in my front left corner of the room. And the other in the back corner of the room. For my rooms sake! That will be the only way I can do it.

If you are going to put one up front (which is another acceptable option for 2 subs), place the second one in the back of the room on the opposite side. Remember to keep it about 1 foot from the wall as well. However, if this still doesn't sound right to you, then try the sub crawl technique and be prepared to move the subs a couple of times to find the best location. For an explanation of the sub crawl technique, it is located in the middle of the page in the Guide To Bass Management sticky from BD.

In general, down-firing or front-firing subwoofers do not make a difference. Try to put your subwoofers in one of the suggested positions in the following diagrams.

Big Daddy's the best. His how-to threads are extremely informative and have also helped me to get the most out of my setup.
