Thankfully, if I get this, it sounds region free. And since I have a PlayStation 4, the 50hz issue won't be a problem either.

It plays perfectly in a PS4

I grew up watching it on UK TV so it’s the only way I have ever known it, had I grown up watching it at the correct speed then its possible I might feel different, same goes for the Back to the Future Animated Series Blu-ray.

It really does bother me but only on content I know really well (mostly shows I first saw via download in the mid 2000's like Stargate Atlantis and BSG), so used to how the music sounds and actors talk that when I catch an episode playing on UK TV I normally turn it off, just doesn’t sound right.

Just received this set today and I can confirm this plays flawlessly on my Sony UBP-X700 (US version) and Vizio P65-F1. Thought I would share that as I have seen conflicting info on whenther these will play in region A NTSC players.

Does this release have all the episodes? From what I understand, the "complete" DVD collection in the US is missing quite a few episodes. Just want to make sure before I pull the trigger on this.

Depends which set you get. I have the Time Life Firehouse set, and that's complete. Some of the episodes lack some of the original tracks by Tahiti for some reason though, and the music has been replaced with the Ghostbusters theme. The ones on Youtube are the same.
Presumably this BD set also has the same episode versions.

Not all PAL is sped up. THere are different ways of converting NTSC to PAL, and in most cases nowadays the speed and associated audio pitch are kept as a sideeffect of the conversion process. I tried to restore the original Thundercats Exodus pilot to it's original version using a mix of Uk VHS and (NTSC to PAL converted) DVD footage, but the speed and audio pitch didn't match. PAL speedup tended more to happen at Telecine for converting film.

Unfortunately the "Firehouse DVD" set is long OOP so that isn't an option. I was referring to the currently in print "10 volume set." The reviews on Amazon and Wikipedia's article on the show say it's missing like 20 episodes or something, as well as the "Slimer shorts." Just asking to anyone that owns the German SD-BD if every episode/short is present.

Think of getting this, but first I'm wondering if anyone knows how this set would compare to the seasons that are available on iTunes?

Looks like this is the original release from 2018:

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-R...lu-ray/218594/

Apparently they've re-released it in 2020 at a cheaper price:

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-R...lu-ray/258320/

This new 2020 release says Region B (A, C untested). Can anyone confirm if it's region-free like the 2018 release?

Also, is there PAL Speedup on this?

Are all episodes there?
https://epguides.com/RealGhostbusters/

Any extras?

Didn't know this one was out of print, alot of the other SD to Blu-ray cartoons released in Germany are still available.

I'm glad I picked this one up way back when, as well as Angry Beavers and Ren and Stimpy.

Only downside is the PAL speed up they have, wouldn't have been an issue if I didn't already have a couple of previous USA DVD releases to compare them to.
