Great to see Amazon Ireland are price matching this and it's only, eh, €139

Is anyone getting the Australian sets "The Hitchcock Nine" and "The Early Years Volume One(1931-1935)"? There seems to be quite a lot of cross-over yet lots of differences and I don't know if I should get these.

A member put together a list in the main Hitchcock on BD thread comparing Imprint's Hitchcock Nine and Early Years sets, and SC's The Beginning:

(The Early Years is not a consideration for me as I already have standalone Criterion releases of The Man Who Knew Too Much and The 39 Steps).

Thank you for this. I'm intrigued by the big bonus of the fact that the Imprint sets have movies in standalone cases with individual artwork, but then again I'm asking myself if i'll ever watch these movies and I think I probably won't and even though I'm a collector and completist, I need to draw the line somewhere. For now the only Hitchcock of this Imprint announcement is the Hour Season 1 (even though I literally just received the Oz complete series on DVD two months ago).

I got an email from Imprint saying these sets were selling fast and less than 200 copies of both the sets. So I guess if you want them now would be a good time to pick them up.

£132 to import that set. I just can't justify that to get a few minor silent films in my collection.

Not quite...

Based on the promo artwork, they have every two films together in separate cases, with reversible artwork in each case for whichever two films are in it.
