Just curious if any Aussie members still order from zavvi and how often and your experience I’m finding them harder and harder to deal with. Let’s say items dispatch but no tracking works. Then I contact them asking what going on and suddenly they are picked up by counter and give them there due arrive very quickly.
Sometimes items randomly get picked up and track but many these months past I got to chase up.
Why say dispatch when it’s maybe not as to me my orders say yet to pick up by courier.

Right now I winged about similar I have two items that’s not even moved and that’s 21 days now and one of these are sold out everywhere ordered from day one.
So others still in stock.
But randomly new just paid for orders and some older ones have a note on tracking saying customer cancel order??
I never canceled a thing yet the items still show in my account as dispatched but no tracking for any as to where they are.
And no refunds lol if worst case they did this to me.
I practically spends a lot with this mob and have got a very long time yet I feel they don’t give a crap about overseas buyers.
I know that with certain items on site sales and offers to uk but not us and over priced items sometimes more than if you purchase from uk.
I know they not been the best place to deal with but this is becoming a joke

Yeah I do, mainly because they're often the last to have a particular item in stock. Recently, I've ordered and received (relatively uneventfully) The Terminator steelbook and The Great Escape (Arrow LE). I've got Master and Commander on the way.

They also have the same owner and distribution as Arrow, so if you want to include that, I've received the LEs of the Dollars Trilogy in one piece as well.

Touch wood, no issues with these orders, but I have had issues in the past (pre- and during COVID). My pain point with those previous orders is the same as many others': when you pre-order and then something doesn't arrive, they refund, but don't bother even pretending to attempt to source another item for you. If it's a limited edition that's sold out, too bad, so sad.

Ordered from them 2-3 times, and like 400TX, in the post above, only because of exclusivity. Even cancelled an order with them once, ‘cos the SB turned up on Amazon.

Not a fan of the cost of their shipping (more expensive than Rarewaves), and not having tracking is frustrating (and why I don’t like Rarewaves either). Never have a clue when the order will turn up, and it takes a while for the package to arrive.

Died a couple of days ago, but just found out… I recall his last performance, in Last Night in Soho, playing the role of a creepy old dude. And he nailed it.

But zavvi have tracking have for a while, the fact 8 titles are so called dispatched and nothing has changed on any and is not tracking and a couple is 21days and adding up.
And yet payment after payment keeps coming off for other goods. I would just like to see some of my items show up.

Each time I noticed they gather up a heap of orders and nothing moving it’s only when i contact them they move.

As I normally have multiple orders with a number of titles there maybe anything from 5 to 10 and more in that order which only cost me one 14.99 so when other stuff is released it’s practically free delivery.
Maybe they try and hold stuff back as cheaper who knows but it sure sucks.
I did buy a lot of stuff locally and do none and again but it’s nice to save a bit as well as I’m finding local stuff is quickly rising than it used to be I suppose exchange rate does not help.

Sorry to hear but if you want you will not be paying the original retail price. Rarewaves cancelled my order, I am not paying now exorbitant prices for it. The Kino will remain my only copy.

Just looking at my little collection (I'm not buying so much these days) and I see that I have four copies of RoadHouse...lol

It's not like it is high art or something.
What slightly cheesy movies do people have multiples of?

I have waaaay too many copies of the Hobbit trilogy. And still need to get the UK 3D Extended Edition of The Battle of the Five Armies to complete that set even though I don't have a 3D-capable TV

Luxon expected to make a big announcement this morning about Amazon investing in NZ to the tune of 7 billion. I wonder if that means we'll get a local Amazon or whether it's just a data center

[edit] it will jus be a data center..

Can't wait. Fewer available titles and higher prices than the Au site, no doubt.

A real concern on those Network Cards that many have been buying from Coles / WW for usage at JB

It sucks. As a precaution I'm holding back from buying those for a few months until cards already instore are replaced

From what I've read in OzBargain and Reddit, TCN made changes so you can no longer do the exploit. However, that doesn't mean that cards out in shops haven't already been compromised

My understanding is that you can't compromise a card until it's been purchased, and thus activated.

With the recent announcement that Warner Home Video in the US are running a disc replacement for the Superman 4K discs that were affected by audio issues, I've asked Roadshow whether they're going to run a similar program here. My guess is not, but hey, you can only ask.

They could have previously figured out the pin before the exploit was supposedly taken care of, then all they have to do is wait for it to be activated.

Seems incredibly unlikely they'd be able to swap it before the purchaser however, unless they have way too much time on their hands and/or are keeping an eye on the store 24/7 to see if someone buys the card.

The way it works is they're constantly polling a “check your card balance” page with each card number and then every possible PIN combination. If it returns a balance, they know they've cracked the pin on the card. If the card hasn't been purchased and activated, it won't return a balance.
