I had the original DVD back in the day and upgraded to the Gaumont 4K. I really like it but it’s still flawed as a film.
I think the star Vincent Cassell summed up what was wrong with it at the time. “I can't help explain the film because I didn't understand it! We cut out everything in the film that was explanatory, therefore 'boring' [according to the director]. You end up with a film that's not boring but you don't understand it [at] all.” |
