Nope, completely wrong. The 10th Anniversary re-release not only used the old transfer but it was the R-rated cut as well, the 4K was done much later when Spiral came out.

Oh that's what another user led me to believe, my mistake. Either way the first one is the only one that had a 100% photochemical finish.

It's unclear at this point. I was basing my comment off what is listed in the product details on the Amazon page. It says this is you scroll down:

Product details

MPAA rating: Unrated (Not Rated)

I guess we will have to wait to know for sure.

The Amazon listing saying ‘unrated’ has nothing to do with whether the steelbook actually contains the unrated cut, thats just the MPAA rating!
The proof is on the back cover if it shows the unrated cut there, that’s what it is.

Regardless of what cut it is, your statement is contradictory. You say that "unrated" is the MPAA rating, yet the image on the back of the sleeve, which is determined by the MPAA, says it's "R rated."

Nah just worded it badly, What I meant is that ‘Unrated’ isn’t an actual MPAA rating, it’s just a label.
Amazon throws it in their listings all the time, but the real proof is always on the back cover, if it says unrated there, that’s what you’re getting.

It feels as if Lionsgate is releasing these with no effort or interest whatsoever.

"There you go, Saw movies in 4K, pay $35 for each steelbook, don't ask for extras or unrated versions, I don't have time to do all of that."

Honestly, no one should buy these.
