I'd love to have that little Gibson. I've always wanted to play guitar.

They had HDR10+ as well so catered for all.

Me, after realizing it's been 40 years since I first saw this in the theater:

Almost certainly all the same discs except for the new bonus disc.

Funny to read all the discussion about the altered covers. I noticed! If I realized others didn't see it, then I would've made a bigger deal of it!

I wasn't annoyed by it then because they were still basically the original images, but now that I see there was a release without any alterations, it is a little more annoying. Why mess with a good thing, especially if you already have it completely ready and you'd just have to change the back covers?

As they'd already done a release with close to the OG posters, they figured they couldn't just re-release it with the same cover art because us stoopid peoples would get all confuse

That marked my first time owning the first two movies, though I had already rented them on VHS beforehand. (Our Part III VHS was a souvenir from Universal Studios Hollywood, which didn't have the precursors in stock at the time.) I still have it, but sometimes I miss the menus while playing the UHD:

The question becomes, do I really need the Steelbooks?

I own these movies 4 times. VHS, Laserdisc, DVD 25th anniversary, BR Flux Capacitor Set.
Do I need them a fifth time? Is the 4K master that much better than the 30th anniversary Flux Capacitor set?
Do I really want to pay $100 bucks for all 3 Steelbooks?

hmmmm.... decisions...decisions....

Went and looked at the new covers again, and really what bugs me is the clock tower add. If they were going to add it collage-style then whatever, but it feels like the idea is that it's been placed in relation to the characters, which makes no sense.

Why are we so sure it will be the same discs and transfers? Universal put out new encodes for Jurassic Park for the recent re release, and isn’t this also Universal?

Happy for you to buy it again and tell us otherwise.

It's difficult not to be skeptical with modern prices of 4k sets.

So Walmart has the $149.99 allegedly Amazon-exclusive set for $44.99? Great Scott!
