WTF would they release this AFTER Season 2 has aired? I just played through this game along side the show. That patch seems cool but Im not gonna touch the game again this soon

Oh there's always some graphics on level 3 that need touching up.

Probably to differentiate how far superior the game still is compared to it’s Season 2 counterpart…

Sounds like how I felt about Season 1 versus Part I. The show was good, but the game was great.

I'm curious how this chrono mode works, particularly for flashbacks that are dreams or moments of remembrance. Anyway, I will do it for my next playthrough, probably next year, to get the trophy but it's not the way I want to play the game. It's ordered the way it is for a reason. Also, it probably exists because it gave new employees a way to train on their code, e.g. that's why No Return exists. Not likely anything to do with the show directly. The remaster existing at all probably does though.

I dont get what you are asking. Do you mean stuff like the Joel/Ellie lashback sections? I opened the mode just to check out what they've don and they start with t

. So if the rest of the mode follows the same structure, it literally is everything in chronological order

I was mostly wondering about the

because it makes no sense to reorder that (just a memory, not a flashback). But no one will tell me lol. But you'd have to play a lot farther to find out.

Playing in chronological mode is how I always wished the people who hated Abby would see things. She was a kid with a dad and a life too. She’s allowed to want revenge.

Anyway, with that out of the way, I’m playing it in chronological order now and it’s wild that there’s like an hour of cut scenes and walking and going back-and-forth between Ellie and Abby. Then, the FIRST actual gameplay COMBAT is rather tough. It’s when Ellie and Joel cut through that building to try to get guitar strings. There’s a lot of infected chasing you AND then there is that huge bloater! It’s a challenging, intense first combat!!

^ if you stealth the 5 infected in the first part of that the swarm never arrives. Still have to fight the bloater of course.

Funny, I TRY to stealth that section from the get go… but I guess I never succeeded

Yeah that's definitely one of the harder areas to stealth if you're not on one of the easier difficulties. I only manage it half the time. But the payoff is definitely worth trying as 2 waves of alerted infected do not show up. I used to think it was a bug, but it's the same thing in the remastered version.

was able to get Troy and Ashley's autographs this weekend. wish I had a steelbook copy of the game but this was the only physical copy I had at home and will do for now. I did have a copy of the season one steelbook and I know they were both briefly in season one but I would rather have them sign for their signature roles.
Troy was very cool, took a minute to talk music with me.
this was Ashley's first time at this con and her line was packed all weekend; she also spent a minute to chat with everyone and was very sweet.
