I never found a way to get that to actually work. I downloaded them, 70 GB of them, but it would stream them anyway, with buffering and all.

I just started Act 3 yesterday. This really is a great game, I love the story and I'm not a huge fan of turn based games but it doesn't bother me at all in this game.

This is one of those games that should have had a digital soundtrack in the deluxe.

The OST is simply perfection.

Started the game on Saturday and I've played a lot this weekend. Got to Act 2. And my god is this game a treat. I don't play much RPGs, or at least of the turn based variety. I need a bit more action to my games when it comes to things/stories like this.
But this game just hits all the right targets for me. The story, the characters, the vibes, the music, the visuals. it's all sublime. And this is all done by a new AA studio who just wanted to make a beautiful and fun game.

Stoked when my RPG obsessed gf plays this one since it's something we both will have played.

In a new interview with MrMattyPlays on YouTube (via TheGamer), creative director Guillaume Broche said Clair Obscur will be the franchise name, while Expedition 33 is just the first story it has to tell in the series.

"Clair Obscur is the franchise name. Expedition 33 is one of the stories that we want to tell in this franchise. Exactly what it will look like and what the concept will be is still too soon to announce, but what is sure is that this is not the end of the Clair Obscur franchise," Broche said in full.

Beat the game over the long weekend.

This is is everything I want in a game. I'm not an RPG person. I leave that to my gf who's obsessed with the genre. If it's more action based like a Witcher 3 or Soulslike then it falls on me. But if it's like turned based thing like Persona 5, a game I recommended to my gf only for her to play the game through 5 times, then it's easily a skip by me.

But all the yammer around Clair Obscur got me intrigued. The trailers caught my interest but once I saw gameplay I was on the fence. The art style my thing yet it's gameplay of taking turns isn't special. I don't know. But again, all the talk about it after it came out and the fact that people are saying it's Game of the year worthy had me sold.

And thank god I played this. Absolute gem of game. I was saying Death Stranding 2 was my pick of the year but then this game happened. Sorry Kojima. Just not your year.

I applaud Sandfall for all the love, appreciation, hardwork and care they put into this. It may not be on the same level as the best AAA games of the year but it stands above those with it's sheer determination in being a game (and company) who want to treat the player with care. They care that they didn't want to be like a Ubisoft, EA or Activision and allow the game to be something one can keep playing for years to come. No microtransaction, no bs, all love.

I'm done the story but I still have plenty of post game to get through. Again, no my forte with these games, so it'll be a big uphill for me. Though I look forward to when my gf finally plays this and to share and chat about all the cool and emotional elements of the game.

Yeah after finishing it I was thinking damn, good luck DS2 & Ghost of Yotei!

Those are the only games where I think they might have a chance.

BTW, 31 people made Clair.

This games on my list to buy and play when I can but give them all the flowers because teams that small are embarrassing the corporate BS sized incompetent efforts we kept seeing from major publishers made and changed mid development at the whim of moronic executives

I'm making slow progress with this. 'm not very good at parrying. I'm playing on normal. dig it but the combat can be kind of frustrating since it all depends on perfect timing. And I don't want to jut put it on easy. Maelle is my favorite character so far. Also, I just realized this is the game where I said this about the trailer way back.

For a brand new IP that’s from an unknown group those are stellar numbers. Even more so considering the genre. I’m sure they’re thrilled with the numbers. Do we all wish for more? Sure but the devs are certainly in a good spot right now.

I could see this coming to one of the services and becoming a darling again.

It’s already on Gamepass right? So they also got that bag of cash.

I imagine we’ll see a Switch 2 version next year. I do wish Sony would offer assistance getting PSSR running on the game to make the Pro version look sharper after all the attention the game got.

Me and my big mouth. So even more to the point is that they sold 4.4 million AND got exposure and cash from Gamepass (AND SALES TAKEN AWAY!!!!).
