The only blood I remember seeing in Superman was the one in his mouth after he got his bahookie handed to him

I see the troll is still trying to cope with DC having the top grossing CBM movie this year

Hoping Isabela Merced will get a cameo in Supergirl, as well. Watching her and Supergirl flying around together would be priceless

Supergirl has a chance at a Billy imo it's been a long time with nothing but TV shows watch it blow up like Joker or Barbie did

I think it'll make more than Superman.

DC doing well should be celebrated. Ultimately, I want to see good comic book movies regardless of which studio is making them. And if DC is making good movies, it will force Marvel to up their game.

That's a movie certificate issue, not a superhero movie issue. If you could have a PG rating with copious amounts of blood, you would see copious amounts of blood. The minute you slap an 18 rating on a movie, the numbers (usually) go down. Deadpool is an exception.

All movies doing well should be celebrated, because the total box-office is still nowhere near back to pre-2020 levels.

So you think King is talking exclusively about "certificates" here?

I didn't read the article, only the headline and the headline said, 'You never see any blood'.

I'm actually kind of old-fashioned in this regard: I think that movies should, generally, reflect their source material as closely as possible. Some comic book stories are very bloody and some aren't. I remember A Death in the Family was one of the more violent stories I had read at the time it came out.

If they ever made a movie or a limited series based on it, it would probably have to be R-rated.

Generally, I agree, but there have been two occasions, for me, when you needed to see blood.
1. Black Panther when Killmonger pull the blade out of his body. No blood.
2. Wakanda Forever when Shuri pull herself out of the spare. No blood.

That is Marvel being afraid of the certification board. There is no way they would have given the movie an 18 rating based on that.

Anyone But You would of beaten Avatar then.

Jokes aside, hoping both Spider-Man and Supergirl break past Billy club each.

Man of Steel didn't have any problem showcasing the destruction and loss of life within a PG-13 film. That's just one reason it stands head and shoulders above most other cookie cutter superhero stuff.
