I think is excellent price about 11 pounds, not sure if is steelbook probaly not. I might import this i know is region b but my oppo can play region free i can view region b star gate so this should not be a problem.

Will have to pick this up, saw CJ7 recently and enjoyed it so going to try and get this and Kung Fu Hustle some time soon.

CJ7 sequel is coming out next year,

also he also had several other titles in the works (kung fu hustle 2, journey to the west)

With the studio Optimum, i guess it will just be region B

Optimum has region free releases but it depends on if Optimum wants to step on Disney's distribution rights. Since Universal region locked Step Up, I have a strong feeling this will be locked a well.

Apparently it has both cuts on it, but I can't confirm that until I have the disc in hand.

My blu-ray arrive took about 5 business day from UK to Los Angeles, it took longer than last time.

I had to point the when i open my disk case, the disk is not stick in the case it just loose, some other people also complain about other blu-ray, if this was dvd it probably might get scratch. But no issue of the blu-ray.

I has to said the transfer is major step improve over the dvd version especially the picture, i compare with the hk dvd release. Both was play in my oppo blu-ray player (my is region lock after download the free patch) the picture is much sharper and well details on the blu-ray, sound is not much of different, in fact the dvd dts has higher volume. Everything is full hd even the credit cut scene which is nice.

Also the provider is miramax, which i think they did good job i think.

Is this the original cut of the film? Does it include that musical number or is it the HK DVD cut? What about region coding?

Yes since is 1 hour 50 minutes long, the entire scene is hd plus the credit. Is region "B" you need to have a region b player or a region free player.

I actually got this to work on my Region A Panasonic BD30. On the BD30, when the region incompatibility screen comes up, press the sub menu button -> highlight the top menu option and press the OK button -> voila, the movie menu should appear. You can now choose to watch the English language version or switch to the HK version.

I don't know if this would work on other standalone players, but it might. It will not work on the PS3 however.

Hate to say it, because I love this film, but I found the Blu-Ray to be a big letdown. Obviously sourced from a low definition source with a lot of edge enhancement to boot. Doesn't look much different to the dvd.
